How to get out or first person view. HELP!!!

Before I start I have a touch pad mouse and so far I can't seem to figure out how to get out of first person view. It's getting on my nerves so much right now. I tried simply scrolling, but that didn't work either. Does anyone have answers? Or should I just switch my mouse?

Heres some tips, try these. As for mouse settings in general, they seem to be a forgotten part of the PC environment these days thanks to the touchpad generation.

Hey thanks a ton. I don't know why I was having so much trouble with it, but I guess a few people have had problems with trackpads. I got it to work thanks to you though.
