    I know that it's generally frowned upon and with the ease of upgrading characters anyway there may not be the chance to make a lot but are there any ways to make a few dollars selling farmed items or gear to WoW users? Any forums where you can offer items for sale?

    The biggest way to make money off of WoW would be to farm gold. Apparently that's what they have prisoners do in some country in Asia. They make tons of money off of it. I'm not saying you'll make as much as they do, but you'll make SOMETHING. Just do a simple google search for WoW gold selling. EZ PZ

    There are websites where you can sell and buy gold for real life money. I'm not 100% sure what the rate per gold is, but if you were good enough you could at least pay off your membership fee.

    From what I've seen, Gold appears to be going for about $0.50 per 1K so if you've got a mining bot then you could easily make enough to cover your gaming costs. Beware of scammers though.

    I don't see the allure of making money from this amazing game. It entertains me and I have fun doing it, so thats enough for me. I just have a regular ol job :p

    Do mining bots even work in this game?

    I'm pretty sure you'd be caught and banned permanently if you were running a bot never mind taking advantage of their service for money.

    Is it even allowed? I haven't played WoW, but I know a lot of games don't allow this practice. I had a friend who used bots to level up a character in rune craft just to sell it. He was banned pretty fast. As for selling digital items, I doubt it's actually allowed to happen. That's kind of like taking money away from the developer isn't it?

    Of course it is not allowed, but it still happens every day. Most online games will have many stores online that sell virtual items and some people like the game so much they will spend real money on it. Game developers wont be able to find out your buying gold if its on a independent website, they wont have access to your IP so there really is no risk of them catching you.
