OK, so I saw this Humble Weekly and I thought I had to share it here. It's a bundle that mostly features RPG Maker VX Ace and RPG Maker XP, along with many asset packs. It also has a couple games thrown in for good measure, but the main thing is RPG Maker itself to allow people to easily make RPGs. I'm sure there's at least a couple here that must have at some point thought about trying their hand at making their own RPG. Supossedly, it's pretty easy to make them with RPG Maker but I've honestly never had hands-on experience with the tool. I think it would be foolish to not grab the bundle, at least throw $1 at it to get RPG Maker VX Ace, some assets packs and a couple of games. I am going to bookmark that now and save it to tinker around with this weekend. I do like the idea of it but right now I am just randomly surfing the net while working and before I get caught I should probably get a little work done before I need to clock-out. Thanks for the link too!
I bought that a few days ago with the next tiered items. I think it's nice to tinker with it on the side. Game design and creation has always been something I want to do. Even though RPG maker is limiting, it's a good start. If not to make money, then at least to learn from it.
Yeah, RPG Maker might not be the best thing but it's a good start if you wanna learn a bit about game development. It might even help you transition to other less limited tools like GameMaker or Unity, and for as low as $1? It's hard to pass up.
