    There has been many games in history that were marketed so much for a new console, that they ended up being bland and boring. This game looks awesome, but what they show isn't always the full story. What are you going to do if this game is a failure? Launch titles are known for that type of stuff, and I've seen my fair share of launch titles that turned out to be boring games.

    Do you think Ryse can change this? I sure hope so.

    I really...REALLY hope so.. I absolutely love historical games like this, with an added flair of realism. I will have to say with the lack of info they have released about gameplay.. I am leaning towards this simply being another flop in the history of blown up titles for system launches... I really hope they have kept everything up there sleeve about this game and that it totally blows everyone away with it's gameplay elements/mechanics.. but the odds are not in its favor.. as by this point you should have a fairly accurate grasp whether a game will be good or not by the amount of info they put out.. statistics show that games that are not explained or talked a lot about or kept under wraps until it's launch are usually a bad sign...

    It's great that Ryse ha a flare of realism, and from what I've played that is really great thing that the game has going for it. But all in all, I don't think this game is going to be a long lasting smash hit. Launch games tend to make a lot of money because most people who have the console buys them- whether they're good or not. There's very little motivation for the developers to make them the best they can be. Perhaps (as was with the case with Motorstorm) the game has potential and it's okay, but they will build on it in the future to make it a really great game. So far not so good though.
