If EA made a new Ultima game, would you have faith in it?

For those of us that play rpg games, Ultima is the franchise that got many of us started on our love of rpg games. But when EA bought the company that makes Ultima, they all but disregarded the franchise.

But now, with both JRPG and WRPG games becoming more abundant, do you think it's time for EA to revive Ultima. And even if they do, do you trust them to make a good game of it?

I think it would be worth checking out. I'm not going to go out and spend 60$ on a game, just on faith alone.

Yeah, see that's what I think they'd be betting on. Nostalgic people remembering the original games and putting faith in the name alone. I agree name and faith alone shouldn't be enough to make people buy the game. But never underestimate the power of nostalgia.

Possibly but we need to see how they actually make it. I wouldn't spend more than $60 on a game.

Now that I gave it more thought, I'm almost sure they'd try to make an MMO out of it rather than a normal rpg. That way, they can potentially get a sub fee as well as possible dlc sales. Which might be their way of getting more than the average $60 per customer out of people.

The only thing I'd trust from them is to make it as dlc heavy as they possibly can. As for making it a quality game, I think they still have enough talent to pull it off. Not to sure on it being faithful to the old lore of it though.

Well, let's give them a chance. After all, if it flops, it will be their loss, not the players'. They lose money, and I still have countless of games to choose from. :D

These days, I don't have faith in anything EA puts out. They used to be #1 gaming company for me, but they've dropped significantly. Everything they've released these past years was horrible. I can't even remember a good game from EA that wasn't from 2005.
