If they brought back Hardcore mode from New Vegas, would you play in it?

For those unfamiliar, New Vegas had a difficulty mode called 'Hardcore' mode. Essentially, it made it to where you would regularly need to eat, drink and sleep in order to survive. Also, stim-paks healed over time, and were not able to mend limbs. It was a much more difficult, more realistic way of playing the game. Personally, it was my favorite part of New Vegas.

If this mode were implemented in FO4, would you play in it?

Of course, I have finished NV on Hardcore mode from start to finish and loved it (was my first playthrough). It wasn't that hard but there were times when I just got stuck because of the difficulty, but I did manage to pull through every time.

If FO 4 has it, I will use it no questions asked. It added so much to the experience in NV to me that I was bummed when I found out FO 3 doesn't have it (I played New Vegas first). If it won't be implemented, I am sure there will be mods that add it.

Hardcore Mode would be the only real mode in the game!

I got killed way too many times playing on hardcore mode. Funny, I don't like that ammo counts for weight

Haven't even tried it. I don't care about THAT much realism. :p
I play Fallout games for the exploration and the freedom to do as I please. Playing on Hardcore would diminish that experience I think.
I don't want to be bothered with my character's needs. If I wanted to take care of a character's "physical needs" I'd play The Sims. :p

Oh definitely. I always enjoyed playing on hardcore mode, even if it killed me haha.

I liked that the ammo counted for weight. It helped with the ridiculous challenge haha.

To be fair, the weight of ammunition is a huge limitation on soldiers' abilities to carry a lot of ammo in real life.

25 shotgun shells weigh a pound or two. I can't imagine how much 10 magazines of 30 large caliber bullets each would weigh. Also, a big issue is how much space it actually takes to carry those things in real life. Space is sometimes more challenging than weight.

I would probably play it after I beat the game and it would have it's own save file. What I'm really looking forward to is if we can continue playing the game after the main story was over since that was my major gripe with New Vegas and I had refused to buy it when it was later given to me as a gift. If this game has post-game content, I will be very happy.

I would definitely play it. I like the challenge and this is a big one. I remember playing NV and failing a lot trying to finish the game on Hardcore, but it was fun.

    This is me!

I used to hate it when I was playing it, but when I turned the game off I wanted to turn it back on. So addicting man.

It's like enjoying seeing yourself lose. It's so weird.

Sure, sounds fun. I didn't get very far on New Vegas's hardcore mode, but that was more from a) a lack of time and b) a burnout from playing the normal mode so much. Going back and replaying that mode again is a back-burner thing for me; don't see why I wouldn't want the same experience, and hopefully then some, in Fallout 4.

Yeah I would probably do the game the first time on easy or normal then the next time on Hardcore for the challenge,

Yes I definitely would! When I first started playing New Vegas, I played it in hardcore mode just because I wanted to see how it's like, and I sort of stuck around with it and didn't turn it off, and I got a neat little achievement for that. :) I'd love it if they added it in Fo4. It's a lot better when you need to drink, eat and sleep. Makes the game more challenging.
