If you could add a feature to the existing mobs to make them deadlier, what would you do?

I usually hate dealing with mobs, specially during night time. But I sometimes wonder what would have happened if the developers went crazy and implemented mobs that would be insanely powerful. For instance creepers that could sprint. It would be really hard to outrun them. Or skeletons that shot TNT.

Do you have any ideas on how to make Minecraft mobs more powerful?

If spiders could shoot a web that slowed the player down it would make fighting them much more difficult. Not only would it make it harder to get away and avoid damage but skeletons would have a much easier time aiming and hitting a player.

I like the idea of spiders shooting webs. The only things I can think of is do more damage, maybe make zombies make players bleed.

I like the webs idea. Also perhaps have the AI for the creepers tweaked where they are a bit more sneaky and devious. Maybe let the skeletons regenerate and be harder to kill.

I think the obvious answer is bats attacking people

Spiders shooting webs? No thanks! I already have a hard time as it is with those creepy things!

Definitely players having a chance to get a bleeding effect after being hit by a mob. I think certain skeletons should be able to fire fiery arrows if they spawn in dungeons, etc. I don't think spiders should be able to shoot webs, imo.

I don't care if it doesn't do any damage, that sounds like an amazing idea.

I would give them projectiles like magic or some kind of projectile weapons. I know they already have bows but maybe they can also have cannons and stuff they can build just like the player. What's more deadly than having mobs do what you do.

Maybe the key here is making them smarter, as opposed to deadlier. If it's daytime they should stick to the shade, and only leave if they can go into water. If they're chasing you they should be able to think smart about finding a path to you, like zombies do when after villagers. They will literally climb stairs and everything to get to a villager, but the other mobs wont use the same method to get to you....which is a bit disappointing.

It would be cool if you could stay wet for a bit which would help keep you from setting on fire.

That would be absolutely terrifying..It'd make them almost as bad as creepers. It's be cool but it'd freak me out far to much.

I would probably end up adding the mod to the game to make the game more interesting.

I guess you could increase the explosion radius of a creeper... I think the explosions are smaller than 1 TNT block already

I think they have to be smarter, and the zombies need to be stronger in some way.

Zombie hordes! Similar to 7 Days to Die, they could make a horde of like 20 zombies spawn and walk in your direction. There should also be the possiblity to give zombies the ability to destroy blocks. (Maybe as a feature in adventure mode?)

Wow, this thread blew up! I thought I would possible get a reply or two, not a dozen! Thanks for all the cool suggestions, keep them coming. :) I really like the spider web idea! And it might be smart to actually make the mobs smarter as opposed to deadlier, you are right.

The worst case scenario would be slimes being able to deal damage with each bounce which would in a way force you to simply finish them off with something that wouldn't result in their separation.
Oh, yeah. And skeletons being able to fire multiple arrows at you, that combined with their already insane accuracy wouldn't be deadly - it'd be plain broken.

Skeletons firing multiple arrows sounds horrible. This might actually happen in the near future, they just need to implement a new bow enchantment that would allow shooting multiple arrows at the same time.

Make it fiery arrows and let them spawn in the nether, would be pretty unpleasant :D. Also magical versions of all monsters in general would be a pretty neat idea, think of giant ice zombies that have a high health pool but don't hit very hard.
