The support role is the one I hate most of the entire set of LoL roles. Which advices you can tell me to get better (I play mainly Blitzcracnk but Taric is catching me too).

Don't focus on getting carried, instead focus on getting your ADC fed. You're the playmaker in the lane, make sure to be the one initiating fights and always have good focus. Your ADC will follow your lead.

Your ADC is a brain dead baby got it? Ok just work from there, put wards everywhere and get prepared for him to be retarded. Now work up from there, its your job to watch the mini map and peel for him and stay back enough to give him an escape if you are thresh or up front if you are a leona and body block for him. You need to apply pressure whenever posible by either getting in their face or going in bushes so they can't see you and causes them to panic not knowing if a hook or tornado is coming their way!

Support isn't that bad as long as you're good at it. Learn how to put wards in the races. Get a champion with massive healing ability and outrageous defense if you're supporting for the first time. Always get into the battle don't let your ADC get damaged. WARD LIKE CRAZY AND GUARD THE DRAGON.

I am a support main and it's not that hard. Some vital things to do is:
    1. Protect your ADC during engages and make they don't get jumped on.
    2. You should usually prioritize their safety over yours unless they are safe themselves.
    3. Keep vital spots warded. (Tribrush, River, and if possible in the enemy jungle if you have taken the outer tower already)
    4. It's so important to keep big buffs like Baron and Dragon warded so your team can know if the enemies are taking it or not.
    5. Try to harass the enemy ADC so they can get low or be zoned away from CS. It gives your ADC an advantage in CS and EXP.
Good luck supporting! I hope these tips help you :)

Go in lane and harass the enemy. Every time you harass the enemy it gives your team more space and the enemy less health ;). Protect your team and keep the wards up.

When you play as support, you must have a specific mindset concentrated towards your teammates. That's the basic recipe towards wining your lane and potentially the game.

Just support. Poke for your adc, dont let your adc die, sacrifice yourself for your adc. That's just early game though. Mid-Late game, start roaming and make plays especially if you're using blitz. Just do that and I'm sure you'll get better.

I play support main and the most important thing I think that most beginners fail to recognize is how important vision is. I know it sounds like it should be expected and it really is in many ways something that should be standard for anyone considering taking the role but sadly not many people are aware of this especially when they are just beginning.

Know how to harass the enemy so that your adc can farm peacefully. Also, vision and map awareness is important so you don't get ganked/set up ganks well.

I would harass the enemy and protect your team. It usually works out with taking your enemy's health. Protecting your adc is also imperative.

Just defend your ADC as much as you can, ward and engage when you both feel the moment is right. That's everything, really. Except, maybe late game if you're a tanky support and you're the team's main tank, you might want to switch your support item for a tank one.

When I play Blitz (and I do it a lot when I want a funny botlane) I simply focus on grabbing enemies (mostly missing because the damn enemies are too fast). You keep on watching your ADC because he's inferior to you (of course he is, you're a GOLDen golem, right?) and he needs your protection. Ward the bush because you're the GOLDen golem and you'll attract gold diggers like Jarvans, Ahris or other junglers and midlaners.

As a support your main focus should be to get lot of fed for your team mates, and to sacrifice your character for the sake of the team. Also you have to defend your ADC, while trying to stay alive as much as you can.

That pretty much sums up the support position. It can feel weird at times to sacrifice yourself, but you have to do it at times. It could be the difference between your teaming winning or losing.

Support is the easiest role to play in the game. You don't have to buff up your health like a tank, you don't have to farm all game to get your late game items like a carry, and you don't really even need to gank early in the game. All you do is just provide support, literally. With skills and items. It's really worth it because you're STILL a valuable member of the team, but the pressure is not on you to kill everyone or lead the comeback when your team is on the brink of losing.

Agreed. The way to win is to ensure the carries get as fed as possible so they can overpower their counterparts on the enemy team. Because of this you really have to outplay both support and carry on the opposing team and keep them distracted as much as possible so your own ADC can level up quickly.

The easiest role is spectator. In all seriousness, support is probably the easiest role. It's a role you can play real passively and still play well.

With Blitzcrank all you have to do LITERALLY is just pull the enemy adc and your jobs done. Jokes aside, supports a really great role as you don't have to worry about doing the most damage or getting kills but mainly on helping your teammates. When you are laning your whole focus is to get your ADC fed and distract the enemy ADC from killing them. Focus only the ADC and make sure you place vision wards so you can watch out for the ganks

You need to make sure that you're in the support 'mentality'. By that, I mean that you know that you aren't going for kills, and that your number 1 job is to keep your ADC alive and to get him fed.

Also try out different supports, there are traditional supports, like Soraka, blitzcrank, taric, and then there are harassing supports, like Annie, Brand, (Veigar I think will start to get picked a lot).

Then there are also tanky supports, Nautalus (a favorite of mine), Shen, and Trundle.

Find your style and go with it.
