Alright, so I know World Of Warcraft has been around for quite some time now and I was wondering, if I were to start now, would I be able to handle it? Like will higher levels of players instantly kill me? Or is that forbidden of them to do? I ask because I don't want to start playing a game where I get destroyed right away, not my thing sorry.

If you are a huge fan of PVPing while leveling then you can go to PVP realm where the area is contested when it's above level 20 . I'd check out http://www.wowprogress.com/realms/rank/us to get an idea how populated the realm is and the population ratio between Alliance and Horde. If you make an alliance in Malganis where it's horde populated, questing is gonna be pretty painful. Will you get kill instantly by higher player?welll..depends. I was playing a druid and this hunter who is 3 level higher than me couldn't kill me and just gave up. I couldn't kill him either because I was mostly in healing gears. The problem is really people who are MAX level to try to kill you,I hardly get killed by people who are around the same level as me. Illidan is one of the most crowded server where sometimes you'd have to quee. if you want to play horde, I'd suggest Malganis.it's horde populated so when you hit 90 ,it's easier for you to find groups in trade chat to do raid if you are not in any guild and are interested in raiding.

That being said, if you want to avoid the hassle of being ganked ,you could just join normal server where you cant' get killed at all unless you are flagged which only happens if you attack them first. Proudmoore or Stormrage for PVE server if you want to play Alliance is a good one. If you want to go for Horde,Zuljin or Area 52 are one of the most populated and have a lot of guilds clearing content.

    see you in the game!

YES, World of Warcraft has never been so easy to get into. I remember during WoW Vanilla there were no quest markers or hints on where to go for certain quests. The early stages of WoW is very streamlined and you should hit level 20 quite fast. To enjoy the game, don't put too much focus on leveling or else it will end up being a grind. Enjoy the game for what it is and if you have friends that play the game, join with them. WoW is much more enjoyable with friends and they can show you around.

Also join a guild in WoW. Most Guilds are pretty friendly and will offer to help you when needed.
In regards to your concern of getting killed at the start, you can always select PVE mode. Player vs Environment. Opposing players cannot attack you unless you set your mode to PvP Player vs Player.

WoW is pretty cheap now days and they even have a trial version for 1 cents:

If you have played other games similar to it then yes i would say so it has some complicated features but listen over time you will develop them and grow into a better player as you learn each and every ability you can do within the game.

Yes, WoW is easy to get into. I remember when it was a harder game as a whole. As far as leveling goes you won't really have a hard time if you're on a pve server. But in my opinion the added fun and excitement of a pvp server is worth the troublesome situations you may find yourself in from time to time.

For example sometimes high level players will gank new or low level players because they are jerks or think it is funny but in my experience this does not happen every day to me while leveling. Once you are max level you really don't have much to fear especially if you join a nice guild that can back you up if you run into gankers along the way.

It is incredibly easy to get into World of Warcraft. The classes have been changed and fine tuned to be so simple to learn that it's laughable. Reagents for spells (such as candles for Priests and acorns/seeds for Druids) are no longer in the game, the map tells you where to go, there's a billboard in major quest hubs to point you in the right direction and there's a new proving grounds to get used to gameplay.

Consider it the kiddie pool of gaming if you want to get used to the playstyle.

When I first started Warcraft it was really easy to get into because there were a lot of easy quests to help you level up quickly, at least until level 20. Some monsters are aggressive though so you have to be careful, but as long as you stick to the quests you should be fine! It's not harder than any other RPG i my opinion.

I would say yes, it is easy to get into in some aspects but hard in others. WoW has been "dumbed" down a bit since the day the game was born but it also has brought a lot of elitism that makes it hard for new players to be accepted. From a gameplay and mechanics aspect, yes it is easy but from a community aspect, not so much.

I think it's quite user friendly for the most part. May be a bit of a learning time associated with it, but you should have it down in no time. World of Warcraft was the first game of its kind that I played and it wasn't too hard to get used to.

I think you're too late to the party, OP. The glory days of WoW are long behind it and you'd only be playing a shadow of what it once was. Save up your money and wait for Elder Scrolls Online. I predict WoW will go free-to-play within half a year of its release.

I have to say that if the expansions did anything, it was to make the game much more "noob-friendly". You got some many new quests for beginners, interactive tutorials, and cut scenes. To add to that I believe it is free up to lvl 20? Meaning that you don't have to pay and risk not liking the game, you can just quit any time!

Yeah, it's pretty easy to get into, just level up to 90 as fast as possible, if you can - use recruit a friend. Once you're done, just complete like - 10 instances and rush for heroics. Since the game has a lot of patches ahead - so everyone'll be max geared. They'll carry the noobs out and you'll get gear. It's simple now, the hardest part is when a new expansion is released..

These days, World of Warcraft is one of the easiest games to get into with it's incredibly helpful quest markers and guides, and the fact that guilds offer experience bonuses to help you out, not to mention the quick and easy dungeon finder, you will not find yourself outmatched. It only takes about a week to find yourself handling the game, not like a max leveled person of course, but someone getting into the rhythm of the game and how it works. It takes dedication and work like any other game, but I play on the server Sargares and while leveling up new toons, I was rarely if ever killed by a higher level. If you devote yourself to the game and hold out till max level, you will not be disappointed with the fun and exciting raids.

Yes, it's rally easy to get into. You can start playing it right away. But over the years, it has gotten more complicated with new expansions being launched. It will take some time to get used to, but you will do it fine.

No, it'll take you some time to get a grip on the game, unless you have a really skilled friend that would spare some time and teach you. If you do not have a friend that is enough skilled and willing to teach you, don't expect to get good in the first months.

PvE is easy content, as long as your guild is good and you're willing to learn tactics.
PvP is hard content, it takes a lot of time to master a certain class and get to know how to perform against each other class.

I hope this answers your question.

    Good luck!

For leveling, yes it's way easier than when I joined the game. You have a lot of tools that weren't available for me.
PvE is a bit more difficult since you have to watch a few videos and read guide to make, but once you defeat a boss it just feel so awesome.
PvP will always be the hardest but I like it more since you never know what's going to happen.

I think you should be fine. I started playing when the game had been out for years, plenty of time for people to level up their characters. I had a friend walk me through it and teach me the ropes. Maybe you could have someone do that for you?

I am sure it's not that hard I don't play WoW, but if you have friends who play or if you can get into a good guild I am sure they will help you out.

Well if you have experienced players to help you around, it shouldn't be too difficult. Being thrown in the deep end with no help can be pretty annoying though.

World of Warcraft is very newbies friendly.
It has never been so easy to get started, and get decent gear to start raiding or doing PVP once you reach max level.
