Back in the day I used to play a LOT of Jax and he was so bad ass that I had a really high winning ratio and do a lot of pub stomping. This was years ago and I haven't played in forever but is he still really good? Maybe I will jump back on and give him a try :)

Jax has always been broken in solo queue as long as you're good with him. The meta is really great for him right now as well, so give him a try definitely!

I used to play a lot of jax a couple of months ago. I'd pick him to go top lane or even jungle and 90% of the times, I got really strong and started stomping.

Personally, I hate Jax. Only because there aren't many top laners that counter him. I Like to bring Yas top and since he counters autos and also Does a Ton of damage there's no point in me even trying so I just end up dead or roaming.

Jax is stupidly OP if you know how to play him right. As long as he gets a couple of kills early on it's pretty hard to stop him. I guess zoning him out with a ranged champion is the best thing you can do.

Yeah, he's a really strong, snowball champion. Where Jax gets punished is in structured play, where he can get counter-picked quite easily.

Otherwise, he plays pretty much the same as he always has and still kicks ass. Remember: slow and steady wins the race, as Jax's value goes up exponentially the longer he stays competitive in a match.

I think he is more of a beast in his current state than say one year ago.Since he does hybrid damage, he will almost never be out and his output depends on his build. Simply put, build op items on him and you will benefit.

Jax Is crazy OP. I would say he gets banned in about 75% of games I play. If your going to play him a lot I would make sure you have some backup champions to play when he gets banned.

Yorick can destroy a Jax if played properly, because while Jax is immune to AutoAttack, Yorick's Q still applies the bonus damage and Jax can have a hard time dealing with the ghouls punishing him after his E runs off. Those ghouls are pretty harsh and almost impossible to click on, that's why Yorick is the one with the least top counters, in my opinion.

Yup, if you know how to play him well you're gonna steamroll a lot of your opponents. Jax is one of those characters that I wish I could play well, but it's just not my style and it feels off when I play him.

He's great for jungling. I'm not sure how he compares to where he was a few years ago, but he's still up there. If you can keep him deep into matches, he's a monster.

He's a REALLY strong jungler as erook said. Sated Devourer and the rageblade combined make him almost impossible to kill. The goal with jax is to get fed early game so you can just dominate the rest of the game. If you start jungling with him offer your teammates a gank and I guarantee you 90% of the time you will win because of the early dominance you do.

I feel that if you really, really know how to play him well, then he's still strong.
They did nerf him a while back, and they've nerfed the items he's built throughout the seasons, but most of the time he's still viable.

He's also a little tricky to play, as you aren't as tanky as you were before and you really need to time your counterstrike and the ward jump well.

With the removal of devourers, I'm not really sure how good in the jungle he is nowadays, but he is definitely one the champions with the most potential to carry.
