Just Another Racing Letdown

    For what players were promised, The Crew didn't really live up to the hype, and not much is going to change that. It's a fine racing game, but it's another letdown in a string of letdowns that released this past year.

    I wouldn't say that it was a letdown. Yes, there are a few areas where they can still improve, but it is an overall enjoyable experience with huge lands to explore and races to complete. The problem with Ubisoft is, they promise a bit too much, and when they fail to deliver, people get disappointed.

    I actually didn't hear any of the hype beforehand, probably because it's not the usual kind of game I'd play. My husband got it... The graphics look great. I like a lot of the aspects they put into it. Why was it such a let down to you?

    Ubisoft always promises more than they can deliver. Sadly, there is nothing we can do about it.

    To be frank, this is actually one of the few games Ubisoft has released that I'm completely satisfied with... Great graphics, great driving physics and convincing dynamics. The User Interface is very polished and I like the overall design of the menus and the options they provide!

    Do you think it offers diversity? some say it's arcade style more than anything.

    It's not really arcade, if anything The Crew offers a pretty unique model as races are seemingly non-instanced; you have a few HUGE regions where you free roam around the streets in a given city, you'll see other cars on your way and many different activities, and you engage in seemingly non-instanced activities, it's really a free world.
