Last Light Loading Screen. i really think that the way they showed us the map and the route we took in metro 2033 was really cool. would you guys want last light to include such thing too. i mean like a map and a route showing where we were and were we currently were?

    Then we are three.
I want to keep that loading sceen, it was nice that when you waited for the game to load Artyom was telling how he felt about the up comming level.

I loved the way they did the loading screens. With other games it's just really annoying when a loading screen pops up, pulling you out of the game. But Metro 2033's kept the story going with it and it was good to see how far Artyom has gone with the map. It was great.

Maybe it can also have tips in it with smaller writing in the corner?

Definitely agree. Maybe some concept art shots as it's loading, together with Artyom's voiceover? Or just really nice scenery. Heck, I dunno. :)

"Maybe it can also have tips in it with smaller writing in the corner?" ^

They had tips when you put it on pause.

I loved the loading screen, as well as the narrative. It's like in some books where under the cover there is a map of the land, only it updates as you move forward. Artyom's voice-overs were awesome too, because they gave us insight into what the main character was feeling as a result of his actions. I'd absolutely love to see this style of loading screen make a return.

It was actually fun to watch Artyom speak during the loading and his voice was great, I wouldn't want to lose that at all.

Just bumping this thread, I think it's quite important. Someone should ask Joe about it in the Questions thread...

I think they'll go with something else: look at all their other changes. Either way, a loading screen is a loading screen.

Ha ha, yeah, I've heard so many people ask this question, but it's a mystery... He does have a great voice though, very good for the character!

In the english voice he sounds closer to his age. in the russian voice he sounds like a 50 year old man.

lol what?!?! with the English voice he sounds like a dying cat, in the Russian one he's mature and serious, completely focused on the "what's going on" and doesn't have that stupid voice xD

During loading screens he's supposed to be older, if I'm not mistaken. So the Russian version is better, in my opinion.

Actually, I agree with this. He does sound quite mature in Russian. I'd say he's only twenty-two or something when he's telling this story, unless the narration carries into the next game... like one long story. I don't even know what my point was, sorry! Ha ha!
