I read an article I think last week where it says Last Light sold less than 2033.

    Here it is:
    http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/20/metro-last-light-shines-in-this-weeks-uk-charts/

#1 in the UK but...Chart-Track says Metro 2033 sold stronger than Last Light in its launch week. Back then, Metro 2033 was fighting March megatons like Final Fantasy 13, God of War 3, and Battlefield Bad Company 2. In contrast, May 2013 has been dead quiet - emphasis on dead. [Metro 2033 debuted at #5 in its first week.]

Congrats to 4A. They deserve it, to say the very least.

    In the UK...

Good, they deserve it. It's good to see people opening to Metro.

Woot! The game has finally gotten the sales it deserves! (Well not as much but it's still a ton). The game is great. I got a bunch of my friends to play it and they all loved it. Even one who doesn't like many games and really only plays MOBAs and F2P games loves it!

Don't forget that they also had a low budget, so the profit will also be big :)

More money for the developers is great, but the more sales there is - the higher chance of the Metro franchise being milked.

Metro 2033 had a high amount of sales. Over 1.5 million and the game wasn't expected to get nearly that many sales. I can see another Metro coming due to the ending. If there is going to be another I would really want it to end at the third. I enjoy metro games as much as everyone else, but I really don't want this series just being milking and having to say "Wow another metro game".
