I find it quite weird that there wasn't a thread about this.
LCS Summer Season is over (for EU LCS. NA LCS still has 2 days to go) and the playoff spots and matches are already decided.
EU LCS ended with Fnatic going on a 18-0 win streak, completely undefeated, and they're looking strong enough to sweep the playoffs and get Europe's first seed for worlds.
NA LCS looks weird, as basically any team could take a game off each other, but Gravity and CounterLogic Gaming are the ones who stand out as the favorites for the first place. TSM has had a very lackluster performance in the past few weeks, but just about everyone agrees that they will step it up for playoffs.
TEAMS THAT QUALIFIED FOR A PLAYOFF SPOT:
    EU LCS:
    - Unicorns of Love (UOL)
    - H2k
    - Giants Gaming (GIA)
    - ROCCAT (ROC)
    - Origen (OG)
    - Fnatic (FNC)

    Matches:
    August 8th:
Unicorns of Love vs Roccat (G1)
    August 9th:
    H2k vs Giants (G2)
    August 15th:
    Fnatic vs Winner of G1
    August 16th:
    Origen vs Winner of G2

    NA LCS:
tbd (games will be played Saturday, 25th of July and Sunday, 26th of July to determine the final standings)

Very disappointing from my most favorite team. I feel like they weren't prepared at all, and thought that it was just an average ranked game. Truly disappointing.

Gravity are looking pretty strong but I'm curious to see what TiP is going to do since XWX is suspended for elo-boosting.
EU LCS looked pretty well this split. I'm glad my favorite team (H2K) have clinched a playoff spot.

And what team might that be ? :)

I don't think Gravity are looking that strong, they haven't really showed us anything other than their main strategy of putting Keane on an anti-carry and letting Altec carry damagewise (which is doomed to fail against better teams.)
The competition in NA at the moment is just really lackluster when you compare it to other seasons, I sincerely hope that they pick it right up for playoffs, my hopes are on TSM and Liquid to give us good games. (I'd hope for CLG since I've been a fan for years, but they always seem to choke under pressure for playoffs..)

EU LCS has looked really good and have way more room for improvement since they have a world-class team competing (Fnatic). H2k are really solid in terms of macro-play and strategy, sometimes coming up with truly brilliant stuff, but they just can't seem to take those advantages and gold leads that they accrue and turn it into wins vs good teams like Fnatic.

CLG just beat Dignitas today in what looked like a solid win. They still need to work on their teamfighting though, but they surely look like a good team (aphromoo was the MVP that game in my opinion).
I agree with H2K's problems. Hjarnan and Loulex (ADC and Jungler) are not really on par with the other players and I think some substitutes may be in order. They have a lot of potential though, so hopefully one day they're going to be as strong as Fnatic.

It's weird, because Hjarnan was playing reaaaaally well in the mid-season. I don't know what happened, but he seems to be out of his element right now.
Considering that TIP just swept Gravity yesterday with their new midlaner "Gate", it may not be as bad as we thought it'd be. :)

I know, it's pretty sad but from what the other pros are saying the LCS salary is not that much so players have to find ways to make more money. By elo-boosting you can even make more than a top streamer.

NA is gonna be a mad house, honestly the rankings don't mean shit, each team is basically as good as each other. Every team was 1st at one time and everyone was circlejerking about how that team was the NA hope at worlds,h hopefully TSM remembers they are actually a good team and get it together for it.

Even if TSM pull themselves together I still wouldn't like them to participate at worlds. It's nothing personal, but they feel like they can't work together anymore and a rooster change is in order, in my opinion.
Dyrus is also retiring after worlds! :(

Yeah a lot of people say it seems like they don't trust each other and it's true, to hesitant to do anything! It's really bugging me, yeah everyone says Turtle is gonna get replaced by either Freeze or Sneaky. I think if they do they should just take Sneaky so they can get some good import as their Top, (Bjergsen counts as american now)

Personally I want TSM to end up in the garbage where they belong. I am sad that C9 has not done so well this season, also switching out Meteos for Hai just worsened their team. They really need to fix something, and I hope Meteos is still with them otherwise I hope he makes his way to a team that can utilize his abilities. I still think they should have gotten rid of Lemonnation...

I think you're wrong here. C9 were in a really bad spot when they benched Hai, and now that he came back their game has improved a little bit. Hai is one of the best shotcallers in NA so it was a smart move to swap Meteos for him.
