So It maybe weird talking about starting the game off when the sequel is coming out soon...
But I loved how the 3th started and want to see what the rest of you think :D
I loved the G.O.A.T and punching Butch's face in!!!

What is a 3th? The opening to Fallout 3 is fine. It's not some big wild ride or anything, but it does introduce you to the game well enough.

The intro was pretty cool in this game. I don't remember a lot but I sure do remember that I got a good grasp of the game from the first minutes of playing, which is good.

I enjoyed the beginning. It told you a lot about Vault life and what not. The GOAT was fun. Granted, after my first playthrough, I started to get really tired of how long that opening sequence was. It really can carry on.

Yeah, I liked the beginning. The G.O.A.T. was pretty cool, and beating up Butch (twice) was fun. 'Course, I felt sad about killing the Overseer, only because it made Amata sad :(

I liked the beginning! It was a neat way of introducing you to the Fallout world, and the character creation concepts they used were pretty unique. It also really immersed you into the world.

I prefer the Fallout 3 opening to New Vegas. It made me care for the protagonist a lot more.

I like New Vegas opening more because you were a blank slate and you could be whoever you want, at the point to even make up your own backstory.
Fallout 4 opening is very similar to 3 though, but it's not necessarily a bad thing. Just different to what I'd really like.

For some reason, I just started laughing as soon as I saw your comment:D You should be more specific and say "Don't ever forget that bobble head located in the medical office in the home vault!"

This might be weird for some (or most) people, but the beginning of Fallout 3 was my favorite of the game. I loved being in the vault and sometimes I just wish I could stay in there forever. I loved beating the bullies and all that. It's fun and peace all around. Then you go out to the Wasteland and it's just endless nightmare. The Wasteland has always terrified me. If I was to take my character's place, I honestly don't think I would have made it out. I'd probably die within the first day or two. That is if I'm being generous.

But yes, I loved the vault and collecting the bobble heads there. I love exploring so it was my favorite thing to do.
