Lissandra is best mid right now?

Low range mage, good wave clear, can initiate with strong CC ultimate. Best mid? Probably not but she's really strong

 

Oh yes. She has great farming as well as escaping potential but I do not believe that she is the best AP mid. In fact, I think the terms: "Best mid" exist. Any mid lane champion can be strong as long as you know how to play them right.

 

She's not the best mid, but yes, Lissandra is pretty good. I already played with her on the free week and I won almost all games, her kit is amazing specially the ultimate.

 

IDK about being "best mid", as many heroes can be very good, I think it's most important how do you play with your champion. Anyway, she is great mid, I've played only few matches with her but those were some good games

 

Not really. She's not considered the best mid because she does have some flaws to her. There's a lot of champions that can still beat her in lane, and also out scale her. She's pretty strong, but I wouldn't say the best.

 

Every champ is beatable, there is no exception. Lissandra is a really strong pick, because she can farm well and she has tons of cc, and a pretty great ecsape or engage ability. I wouldn't consider her the best pick, a QSS Zed might do the work against her, or any high range midlaner can poke her out of lane.

 

Lissandra is really great, and I played her a ton when she first came out. However, she's far from the best. She has very solid CC, and she's decently mobile, but not more mobile than say LeBlanc, Ahri, or Kassadin. Also her mobility skill has a delay that can be her downfall. Because her main root is such short ranged, it is only particularly useful against melee or short ranged champs, and I must say I have wasted her ulti more than once to escape, which is hugely disappointing. She's really great because she can stay in a tough lane, thanks to her good wave clear and her CC, but she can also fall off pretty hard unless she picks up damage. Otherwise she's just a glorified CC support.

 

I don't think there is any "best" champ in any role. Sure, there are some which are better versus certain others. This applies to Lissandra too, and I find her to be quite hard and less versatile compared against Annie, Katarina or Brand, for example.

 

In 2013, when you posted this thread, she was, yeah. But now, assuming that you're still around to see my reply, she is really broken and as far as I can see nobody plays her anymore. Meh, such a shame, she had a lot of potential. xD

 

She was pretty good in 2013 and even saw some play in LCS from pros but nowadays she's really not that good. It's more of a niche pick for the teams who lack the utility that she brings.

 

Lissandra is a good champion because of a few reasons: she does well in just about every meta.
-> Assassin meta : she's strong because she can handle them very easily in lane with good itemization and apply pressure by locking them down in teamfight (especially good against mobile champions who rely on dashes like Riven or Zed)
-> Control mage farm meta : She can do this as well, even though she doesn't excel at it. (Orianna, Azir come to mind)
-> Poke meta (the one we're in right now with the likes of Jayce / Runeglaive Ezreal / Azir dominating) : Does well against them since she can hard engage with proper vision control around sieges.

Overall she's just a really solid pick that you almost can't go wrong with and will always do her job regardless of whether you lose hard or not. She's also a soloQ's jungler wet dream because she will be able to set up ganks really easily with E into 3~4 seconds CC lockdown.
