Also great video upload, I haven't seen this particular one. Much better though.

Edit: Also something I just noticed is that artyom can pull out his light without his journal and with his shotgun. I guess to keep it handy for burning spiders. I feel kinda stupid that I haven't really given it much thought.

From what i can see it's a ghost of someone who might of died but also, u may have not noticed but someone is talking saying something like "Artyom, are you there?" "Hello artyom." it sound like a child though when he meets a shadow

 

Well, perhaps it's a stalker? I mean, it's highly possible that it's a "ghost", seeing that Artyom gets visions often. But perhaps THQ wants us to think it's a ghost, so we won't suspect that there's a stalker stalking Artyom and Pavel?

 

The voice of his mother in a flashback is the same.

The voice from the phone says "Artyom? *pause* Artyom is that you?"

 

Yep, ghosts would be the logical answer after our experiences in Metro 2033... but who knows?

 

Speaking of ghosts, I really hope they incorporate encounters that the players will have to deal themselves to the LL. There was some missed potential with the ghosts in 2033.

 

I think that was sort of the point: a mortal can't do anything to a ghost...

 

Yeah, fair enough. My bad of being lazy and not elaborating enough.

I meant it more in a way of not having to rely to a presence of another character, like Khan. Not necessarily means to get rid of the ghosts, but just to deal with ghosts in general - alone.

Someone said something about ghosts only being found in the metro tunnels, but I don't think that's the case.

People died on the surface as well, so obviously ghosts inhabit Moscow's surface.

 

Well, yeah, we see them in the airplane wreck, and there are some weird things we see on the surface in the latest gameplay...
