    Lurkers are probably the only enemy I don't enjoy fighting in Metro. They only attack when you're not looking! little shits.

    I feel the same way. Although I usually just hunker down in a corner with an Uboinik or Duplet and wreck their shit.

    I find the AK to be better for dealing with them than the shotguns because you don't need to reload as often and it doesn't take as long as the shotguns either.

    In Defence, they're absolutely brutal. Also a little in "Child", because you cant move around as fast.

    It's also slightly trickier to aim. Dunno how it'd work on PC but on console when you have Sasha on your back your aim swings about a bit more.

    True, but I've found that they come in groups of 2-3 at a time, so I like to use the uboinik. The spread is good so you don't have to be aiming right at them for a kill.

    Yeah, I have pretty good aim so I like to save the shotgun shells since they're worth more than dirty rounds. (I play FPS quite alot)

    Off topic but I'd just like to share that I completed my first ever play through wearing (once I got to the first one you can buy) only the stealth suit today. I was quite surprised that I didn't die.

    Just crouch in a corner and stab with the throwing knives, easy kills and a good way to conserve ammunition :wacko:

    I dunno about you guys but I found knives awkward to use against the lurkers since they're so small and quick and you have to be so close with the knives to hit them.

    Besides on Defence and Child I usually just make sure I pick up everything and just kill the Lurkers as they run at me. I used to camp it out in the corner but now I cba to sit and wait.

    Honestly, in Child, I just prefer to run and not fight them. I have a hard time because of the weight Sasha brings on Artyom's aim so, instead of wasting ammo (I often use the hellsing/tihar at those points) or using my trusty AK, I'd rather take a few damages and run.

    But outside of child, they're game. Like rabbits.

    When you see a single lurker running out of pipes at various points in the game whilst you're on a trolley I like to try and throw a knife at them and pick up the knife as I go past. So far never succeeded in doing the latter but it's fun to try :D

    As soon as I can get a hold of the scoped Hellsing, I keep it until the end of the game. But during the "Child" chapter, I use it to one-shot-kill the lurkers. It's good practice, especially on RHC.

    I loved using the Hellsing against the Librarians. Very effective. Librarians are just cuddly gorillas compared to Lurkers.
