Media: Stop Crying About Fallout 4 Graphics

I think the graphics from the trailer are top notch. And if they optimize this game to run on low end systems as well, all the better. Graphics are not really that important, compared to good storytelling and excellent gameplay, in my opinion.

 

I agree wholeheartedly with Chris. Graphics don't make the game, gameplay and storytelling do. I may also be slightly biased as my computer is as old as Fallout 3 and I'd rather have the game running with at least 30 FPS than watching a slideshow.

 

There's nothing wrong with the graphics I'm a big fan of the fallout games and at least the graphics are an improvement from the last one.

Fallout 4 will have many more features than just graphics there will be story, game play, free roaming, interactions and much more.

People should just stop complaining.

 

People are just making noise to get the spotlight on them. The game isn't even out and it doesn't look like complete crap. They should just chill out and wait for it to be released before passing judgement.

 

I am not interested in Fallout 4 because of the graphics. I do hope they are amazing but I won't be heartbroken if they don't measure up to other games in the market right now. As long as the graphics are at least slightly better than Fallout New Vegas, then I will be happy. For me, a game is amazing if it can fully immerse you in a believable world. The Fallout series does that through solid storytelling and good gameplay mechanics.

 

Ugh people don't get the point of fallout if they are complaining about this, and they aren't even bad to begin with! We will see how it is when it comes out, but for now I'm happy with the quality of the graphics.

 

Yeah graphics are fine. I'm really excited to see what they do with physics, personally. the rag-dollesque and dismemberment features seem pretty sweet. I'm really wondering just how massive this world is going to be. Boston isn't that large of a city, and while it has tons of small towns and cities around it....Massachusetts just ain't that big. Will they make it to Cape Cod, or will that be for DLC? That is my biggest question and I will probably make a thread about it. (I just moved away from there, so I would love to go back and f up the place. I hated living in Yankeedom.)

 

The competitors just need a reason to try and take the hype down, it's obvious that people will criticize everything possible, but anyway, the graphics look awesome, we could expect a downgrade for consoles at the release, that is something that happens too often to be happy about it, but it's ok. I can't wait to have it in my hands and play it, I've never been so exited about a game in a long time.

This is exactly what happens. Competitors are trying to kill the hype by making false assumptions but I believe people are too foolish and they really take those for good. The graphics are pretty good, it's just a big circlejerk.

 

I sometimes wonder if media outlets make an issue of graphics that doesn't really exist. I know gamers place at least some importance on graphics - I doubt the battle between PCs and consoles would get quite so vicious if they didn't - but most of the time people on forums like this are much more concerned with the game being good rather than pretty. Maybe I'm just talking to the wrong people. (Or the right ones?)

I love sprite-based games, and became briefly obsessed with Dwarf Fortress a while ago, so graphics are not that important to me. So long as I can tell one thing from another and have fun doing it.

 

I'm pretty sure people are readying up their pitchforks on various sites, this conflict wouldn't have come from thin air. It's easy to start a circlejerk, people like to bash on everything.

 

i do think there a little bit cheesy but there right , this is gonna be a big sale for this fallout. we've waited a while for a new one so it'd definitely gonna be worth it in the end.

 

It's easy content. You can make multiple posts without actually saying anything new and foster a false sense of engagement in the comments.

It's like the Twilight Team XvY. Whatever you say doesn't actually change anything. Discussion is great, but the mindless ganging together is just circlejerk.

I too play low-fi games, and that's quite fine. I don't mind if graphics aren't the latest and greatest because I'm not watching Transformers, I'm playing a game! Make the gameplay fun!

BF4 is gorgeous, but I play it for fun.
Rimworld is sprites, but I play it for fun.

 

Yeah, there's nothing to worry about. People just like to pick out every single small detail since the game is really successful. Bethesda did an amazing job.

 

The graphics are really important, I don't know how someone can deny that! I think they look great though.

 

Why would people be complaining about the graphics? I think they look incredible and I'm so excited for the release.

 

I think it looks good. Miles better than the latest Fallout game. Also it's good that Fallout is NOT JUST ABOUT GRAPHICS! There's interaction with the environment and the NPCs, combat, RPG mechanics and so on. All in an open world.
