How is not knowing what you're going to say with your character in an RPG ever a good thing? I'm role playing this character, of course I want to have control of what he's supposed to say even if I have to hear the same sentence twice. I don't want to be "surprised", do I surprise myself when I talk in real life? No, because I think about what I'm going to say and I'm going to hear myself at least twice, first in my mind and then from my own mouth saying the thing that I'm going to say. I don't understand his reasoning, sorry. This problem is there in the first place because of the second to last problem he says: voice acting. If it weren't for voice acting, we wouldn't have this conversation because then we would be reading the line only ONCE. Bethesda created the problem by themselves, so it's useless to try to defend it.

I agree with most of the other things though.

Indeed, that is a big flaw in Bethesda's development and right now they can't redo this in time. I guess Fallout 4 isn't perfect as many people said! :p

People should just wait to play it of figure out how they truly feel about it. It's kind of silly to say before experiencing the game for yourself.

I'm just answering to what the video is saying, he's also clueless about it after all.
I just think it's reasonable that people may hate that, because the way it was in Fallout 3 and New Vegas was perfectly fine.

I personally prefer the presence of a voice because I always felt the conversations between the protagonists and others always felt rather... empty and it broke the immersion for me.

Although that being said, the problem of one not knowing what your character is going to say though is valid and it irritates me when I click on an option and the game interprets it the wrong way, take games like Life is Strange as an example, I've clicked on dialogue options that ended up with different interpretations by the game and its a problem that exists when games like these have voice acting.

As they say, you gain some you lose some, I love the voice acting and all but not knowing what your character is going to say is annoying.

More options in dialog would have been nice but this guy is just plain wrong about not knowing what you're saying being a good thing. I don't personally have a problem with the voiced protagonist but Bethesda could have included an option to disable that. The rest of the list is just silly and if you really have a problem with any of this you can soon get a mod to fix it.
