I just bought the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection. It's my first copy of any of the games in the Metal Gear franchise. Even though it's my first time playing the games I've watched all the cutscenes from every game already.

I've decided to start with Peace Walker since I was having trouble with the controls of Snake Eater. I love it so far, but can't seem to beat the tank mission .

I hope that there are other Metal Gearheads here on the forum. I love the message of the series and it's well thought out narrative.

The reasons why I like the Metal Gear series are largely the same as why I like Metro 2033.

  2. I like the series in general, but only 1 & 2 were released on PC though.

I've played MGS1 on PSX at a friend's house in 1998, MGS2 this year and seen playthroughs of the rest online.

The only Metal Gear games I've played were Metal Gear Solid on ps1 and the Gamecube exclusive remake Twin Snakes. Good games, I played them to death but really couldn't care less for the rest of the series...
