Metro 2033 on PS3?

    Can somebody confirm those rumors about Metro 2033 is going to PS3? I actually borrowed my friend's Xbox to play it. I only have my PS3. I am glad that Metro: Last Light is going to PS3 instead just PC and Xbox 360. But, a few ones told me that Metro 2033 will come up to PS3 this year or next year. I am not sure if it is just rumor or true.

    Please confirm it for me and thank you.

    If thats true, then..... I dont know xD
    But they said it would be for PS3 in the beginning but suddenly changed their mind. If it comes for PS3 anyway that would just be awsome o_O

    Oh, and to answer your' question: No. I have no clue. xP

    I seriously doubt it will as the development costs would be too much. Although I never knew why it wasn't on the PS3 in the first place, a silly decision imo. Last Light is coming on the PS3 though. :D

    I wonder if the Wii U will get the game?

    There are a few reasons why games go console-exclusive: It's easier to design for just one console, often they get paid a sum by microsoft (or Sony) to keep it just on that console, thus boosting sales (which doesn't work imo).

    ^ That's just a guess, by the way, absolutely no idea how true it is! :D

    You're right. Then again,Metro 2033 was build on ps3 first and it was supposed to be ps3 exclusive title. I think i have a promo disc laying around here somewhere with some old concept art and some trailers/engine demonstrations.

    No PS3 version to my knowledge. I had a 360 before my PC so I played it on my 360.

    Yes, I think so, too.

    IMO, it'll be nice if Metro 2033 goes to various game consoles, but I suppose that you're right about money and number of consoles. Oh, well. But, thanks for your replies!

    My guess is that it most likely won't, and that the rumor has emerged because of someone believing it was 2033 when it actually was Last Light. Or/and that someone thinks that 2033 will magically come for PS3 as well since Last Light is coming for it.

    I can't see why it was an xbox exclusive imo. I really don't. Maybe Joe can answer it. It would be nice if it went on the PS Vita. THQ should really start tapping into the market if the rumours are true that they are on shaky grounds. They are a business after all so more copies sold on various platforms means extra cash. I'm not a dev so I don't know realistically how difficult it would be to port from one console to another due to the difference in architecture.

    I'm seriously hoping that it will happen. Never got the opportunity to play Metro 2033 as I own a PS3 only but would love to play it. Maybe THQ will much the same as ID are with Doom 3 and release Metro 2033 sometime nearing the release of Metro Last Light...fingers crossed.
