It may be early to ask, But I was wondering when we might find out about,
    How the game is doing?

    Break down:
    Pre-Order sales:
Opening Day Sales: May 14, & May 17,
    Platforms: PC, Xbox, PS3

    Later:
    Week 1 Sales
    Week 2 Sales

I have been waiting for this game for some time. "Not as long as some of the members of this forum"
I never had the chance to play the first game, But Loved the Novel.

My heart sank in two ways during the wait.
THQ's bankruptcy: "i.e. Didn't know the future of the game, If their was one"
DLC issue: "I thought it would be an Big anchor to a possible great game"

Then came Deep Silver. I didn't know what was going to happen, Like a longer wait, Major changes etc...

    Then,
    Here we are! :)
For me the wait was justified. I love it.

    But,
Games do live & Die by sales.
I could see poor sales because of the "DLC issue", But Then I could see the
    this game taking off!!!!

#1 in the UK but...Chart-Track says Metro 2033 sold stronger than Last Light in its launch week. Back then, Metro 2033 was fighting March megatons like Final Fantasy 13, God of War 3, and Battlefield Bad Company 2. In contrast, May 2013 has been dead quiet - emphasis on dead. [Metro 2033 debuted at #5 in its first week.]

Remember that people are spending less and less, plus many games were released before LL and are going to be released after. People might still be playing those games or just saving their money for other games.

Well steam is doing it right . They understand how to work with the developers and Gamers . Hell many developers and publishers stayed alive thanks to steam . I believe metro last light will sell great over time since PC always tends to sell better in the long run 'no used market' . On my steam list alone 19 people purchased metro last light and I asked some of those friends how many on their list got metro last light and it was almost the same number .

When steam bakes into summer sale metro last light will drop to 50% off and sales will jump again . Some gamers can't afford to spend 50-60 a month on new releases so they wait it out until 50% off so they can buy 2 games . I refused to buy Tomb raider for 50 dollars and waited until 50% steam sale but metro last light I wanted day one .

    Interesting!

Can't wait for more to come out.
Maybe we will get some more content for the game in the near future.

Yup, Found that during a search, before First posting.

I didn't include the data because I was looking for something more up to date.

Good to see the Xbox still has a good following. "being that Metro 2033 open on PC & Xbox"

I'm running on PS3, and was hoping to see a bit more in pre-sales.

Just found another news article, Just like the one you posted DarkOne

UK Video Game Chart: Metro: Last Light is no.1 despite lower sales than 2033

    Times are tuff!! :(

Hopefully the game is profitable for them. I'd love to see a new Metro on next-gen consoles.
