    Metro Last Light watch?

    Hey guys I was just curious if anybody has heard if 4a games plans to make a legit watch based off the one Artym wear's in the game Last Light that we could purchase? That would be awesome!

    The one in last light would be hard as hell to replicate. It uses Nixie tubes for the readout, and unfortunately, not only are they not made anymore, they were never made in that size. So, it would be a huge undertaking for Deep Silver.

    well what if they used led lights instead of nixie tubes I know it wouldnt be an exacte copy from the game but stil it would be pretty awsome and then use a light sensor to switch it on/off? maybe thats an idea? I know I would buy that.

    There is a very similar watch on the market, but it has 2 tubes instead of 4.

    I'm sure if you look hard enough their is some NOS stuff around.

    But, My issue would be having a high Voltage supply strapped to my wrist!!! :laser::flame:

    It would be worse then, Holding the charger in Metro LL to long.
    The animation starts up and he starts playing around with the charger.

    I just found a nixie watch at a website called cathodecorner.com DAMN its expensive, really wish I could get it... Obviously unless I become filthy rich I'll never get a nixie tube watch. =(

    *Edit If you guys could help me find something that looks like nixie tube and cheap that would be awesome.

    I know the advertising and tie ins for LL and 2033 have always been fairly minimal, eg. downloadable book etc, but the genuine gas mask premium was very popular. It might or might not be feasible to release more stuff, but if there were Metro merchandise available, what would you go for? On ebay, there are a few sellers with homebrew T-shirts and art prints.

    Given that Metro is a more immersive game than Call of Duty, I would prefer useful and more subtle things; eg.

    - Ranger dog tags
    - Faction iron-on patches
    - Metal storage box similar to ones containing loot in the game

    An absolutely crazy idea would be a promotional tie-in with the real life Moscow Metro, although I imagine non-gamer Russians would be a little confused over the big, life-sized nosalise statue in the toilet and wonder why their conductor is wearing a gas mask...

    I would definitely buy a Ranger dogtag and bullet lighter!

    And I would totally buy a Metro 2033/Last Light watch if available. Hell the Germany CE of 2033 had a close replica of the watch!

    Damn, my local shop sells bullet lighters, though they are much more streamlined than the Metro ones and appear as just a bullet, none of the side bits. I'd offer to send them to people if the blyaddy postal service wouldn't take lighters...

    A little orange case to store my heroin in.

    Really I would have been happy with a paper-back version of the novel, but a set of Ranger's dog tags would have been pretty cool.

    I've been researching making one, and the only problem I'm having is finding a case that you don't need to buy in bulk. I found a perfect one, but you have to buy them in 100 or more units.

    There is, and quite a bit, but none were ever made that are small enough for a watch.

    I could, in theory, make one like that at school. We work with lathes there, so it wouldn't be much of a problem. It would, though, be quite a challenging task to get it completely straight.
