Is Mew an inbred Pokemon? Apparently Mew contains DNA that can be found in all Pokemon. How did Mew come to be? Do you think there is any Pokemon out there that could take out a Mewtwo?
Well, originally Mew was meant to be the first Pokemon, and the 'mother' of all Pokemon, if you will. But then Arceus came around and changed up the story, since he created the Pokemon universe. So maybe in an Adam type situation, he created Mew, and then from Mew came all other Pokemon? Who knows.
Well if we go with Mew being Adam, then I guess Mewtwo would be Eve since it was created from Mew's DNA...but then it now has me wondering where the hell Arceus came from and who created it...
Indeed. Unless we say that Arceus is just a 'god' in that world, and just showed up one day out of the blue. But I doubt we'll ever know for sure, since they don't really go back to add to the stories of the legendaries they've already done....
To my knowledge, Arceus created Sinnoh, not the entire Pokemon universe. Even if he did create the Pokemon universe, Mew is still a common ancestor to most Pokemon. On the topic of Arceus, Ghost Arceus can almost certainly take on a Mewtwo. As could most powerful dark-type Pokemon.
I still can't believe that I never caught Mew in Pokemon Blue... I just didn't want to erase my save file after all I had accomplished to start anew. :/ Anyway, if you're still wondering about Mew, As the ancestor of all Pokemon, you might want to think the other way around: every Pokemon contains Mew's DNA, altered to a specific Pokemon breed.
