A couple of days ago Mojang posted some new info hinting at what might be in store for the 1.8 patch. They also mentioned that the major development work had been completed for the next version of Minecraft, so it seems like the release of the next version of Minecraft could be coming soon. What features are you looking for in the next version of Minecraft?

I'm pretty excited as some of the devs have noted that there have been HUGE performance boosts in FPS in the new update and snapshots :)

You know you can get weekly minecraft snapshot updates if you wish, right? Just tick the box in the Minecraft launcher! The performance boost is amazing, and I really like the armor stands they just implemented, along with coloured beacons!
