There are a lot of Minecraft-ish games on Android. Most of them are clones.
Guncraft and MonsterCraft are my favorite games inspired on Minecraft.

This thread feels familiar. Anyhow, to name a few, they are Terraria, Cube World, Ace of Spades and Starbound.

I tend to play some of the free to play ones that are on the Google Play store. But that's just because I don't want to play for the Pocket Edition game. 6.99 is a lot for an app.

Terraria was fun! I eventually got tired of it though. Two dimensions wasn't enough, I just had to have three

Also, REDSTONE and command blocks! :D

These are pretty much all of the notable ones. I'm sure you'll find something you like out of these if you want a break from Minecraft lol.

Edge of Space lets you explore a strange planet in 2D Terraria style. The game focuses on exploration and combat with plenty of depth to it. With support for both single player and multiplayer gameplay it’s perfect for both solo and team adventurers. While it’s easy to draw comparison to the like of Terraria and Starbound, the game focuses on a different experience and level of pacing that it does give it a unique vibe.

To top of the entire experience you’ll find Edge of Space has a great list of available biomes, backdrops and sounds that add that extra layer of polish to bring the game to life.

Does Terraria count? I play it a lot, I think I have over 200 hours on Steam, total. It's really fun, especially if you have friends to play it with. If you don't, it's still a blast. It'll keep you playing for a long time though so be prepared to throw your social life out the window.

The only one I played was Terraria. It's 2D so it doesn't appeal to some, but I do like the graphics. I got bored of it after a while, though.

Terraria, Starbound, Edge of Space, there's a ton more out there but those are the best 2d ones out there right now.

Ace of Spades is definitely the most memorable, it wasn't really Minecraft-esque, but it was definitely great. For anyone looking to get into it, try Build and Shoot, because what Ace of Spades is now, is a ruined version that completely dismisses the original point of the game.

I am more enough than sure that none of these games took their inspiration from Minecraft. Starbound was based on Terraria (same devs), and Cube World and Ace of Spades have no relation to Minecraft whatsoever. They are Minecraft-esque indeed, but the devs didn't get their inspiration from Minecraft.

7 Days to Die is one of the best games that has Minecraft elements, although it's still technically in Alpha release. Plus, Unturned is a good one, and I've already said this in other threats but whatever. There are some pretty good games that are similar to Minecraft in spirit.

There are a lot of Minecraft-like games out there, especially on the App Store. Terraria is also loosely based on Minecraft.

Wow I didn't think that there were any other games that filled this niche. Are they as good?

I don't play any, actually.. I used to play Cubeworld, which has kind of a Minecraft feel just because of the blocky look to it.. But after they stopped updating it, I got bored and just quit playing it.

When we say stuff like Terraria, I find that cheating. Because that game was inspired by Minecraft and therefore, in my opinion, doesn't count as a fully original game on accounts that it was inspired by a singular unique aspect about an original game. A game that allows you to use creativity in ways you haven't before, reminds me of SimCity, the original one. It was fun, and seeing your city grow was an amazing experience, something I won't ever forget. Another game similar to that was Roller Coaster Tycoon 2. Oh wow, that game was just a pure joy to play. Creating your own amusement park was so gratifying and the amount of people you brought in from your own creativity and imagination gave an experience unheard of before those games came out.

    Oh really?

Quoted from a Wollay interview for Cube World: "I'm Wollay, the creator of Cube World. I started this game in June 2011. My inspirations were Minecraft, Zelda, Secret of Mana, Monster Hunter, Diablo, World of Warcraft and many more." Source: https://picroma.com/cubeworld

Quoted from an interview with Jagax CMO David Solari: "We have blended the artistic style of voxel-based sandbox games, such as Minecraft, with the class based combat of titles like Team Fortress..."

As for Starbound and Terraria, again, although their game mechanics are different, the look and feel takes on the same approach as Minecraft, but in 2D. Terraria came out in May 2011 and Starbound came out in December 2013.

Quoted from the creator of Terraria: "I wanted to make an open ended game for a long time with elements of being able to edit the world, play with your friends, and explore. Minecraft was a big inspiration of course." Source: http://rgz.ca/gaming/interview-andrew-spinks/

Could not agree more, 7 Days to Die is superb! I almost had a heart attack the first time one of those big ass hordes came up to my house :D. I just hope they keep devloping in the right direction because it still needs some improvement, but as of now it already is very enjoyable.
