Minecraft came out on the Playstation Vita (finally) a couple months ago. Have you gotten a chance to play it on that platform? It's basically a full-version akin to the PS3 version, and I loved it. I'd almost consider getting a Vita to play it on, to have it on the go like that. It's way better than the mobile version.

Eh I don't get why they keep making mobile versions with limited world size. It's been in the game so long on PC that the game just doesn't feel complete without it.

Well, because people play more than just the PC, obviously. A gigantic portion of the community isn't on PC. They're on concoles and mobile.

I don't like any version other than the PC version. Every other version is inferior in most -if not all - ways. They have limited world size, are quite a few updates behind the PC version and are not as fun to play on, in my experience.

I get that people want to play Minecraft on the go, though. I think this is the main reason they make games for portable devices.

The mobile version isn't the nicest platform to play on. I think Minecraft on the PS Vita will be amazing though. The controls will definitely be A LOT better than the mobile.

Each version of the game seems to work as intended, even with certain limitations for various platforms.

I never got to play on the PSVita but I think controls would be a big problem for me. How's the game on this platform? Does it have the same features as the PC version?

I don't think so. Anyone who wants to do serious gaming generally does it on consoles. That being said, I bet it'd be better on vita than on ipad/android. I'd probably pick it up if I had vita.

I have Vita and I get to play it. Well, it's fun to play it but it's a Vanilla one. Too bad you can't play it with mods.

By consoles I mean non-handheld devices. Don't worry.

However, the mobile version is better than its console counterparts, solely due to the fact that it has infinite worlds, and the other ones don't. It's really embarassing for the current-gen consoles, to be honest.

The Vita version is the same as the PS3 version. This is the main reason that the two are cross-buy. Basically, if you buy the PS3 version, you get the Vita version for free and vice versa. If you want the best version, obviously PC is still the way to go, but there's nothing wrong with the Vita version.

I haven't tried Minecraft for the PlayStation Vita yet. It sounds like fun because it would be nice to play Minecraft is a portable fashion. It would be cool for there to be a feature so your PC or PS3 maps carry over so you could play them on the go!
