    Got to thinking about it and I thought I would start a thread with some pro tips I have learned over the last year of Minecraft and thought I would share for the benefit of all, please feel free to add your own tips as well.

    1. When starting early in the game, when not exploring keep your map in a safe chest at home, that way if you die you don't run the risk of loosing it, because maps are hard to replace early on in the game.
    2. Keep a bucket of water in your hotbar while deep mining incase you run into lava and need to put it out, or yourself.
    3. Diamonds are found between levels 1-19, but 11 is the main lava layer, dig at 12 to stay one layer above the lava layer to prevent any accidental falls into lava while mining.
    4. Build a small shelter and build a bed AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Sleeping in a bet resets your spawn point as well as skips darkness. If you die while out exploring, when you respawn you will know you are in a secure location, and you can immediately go to sleep if its night out, then safely go out in the daylight to get your stuff back.
