I know it's all just pixels and bytes, but do you have an issue with killing cows and pigs for food?

Right now, I'm playing on a friend's server and they need a cow farm for leather. I've been putting off on it because I feel sad to create a farm to kill cows. With the Soartex Fanver resource pack, they look so cute.

You got to do what you got to do to stay alive. The vegetable saturation is bad, so I will always will kill the cows.

I've probably killed more cows than other mobs in the game, to be honest. I'm also a voracious fan of beef in real life, so there's no guilt here.

Heh, no. It's a virtual game so I do not feel bad at all. In real life, sure, I'm an animal lover.

I do it quite often for their leather and steak since it fills the whole food bar in just 1 or 2 pieces.

I just eat whatever I happen to have on me. In my main survival world, I have a cow spawner near the house (I figured if I found a spawner I could take it back), so most of the food in that world comes from there. I also don't really bother much with farming in that world, I don't even have a proper wheat farm at the moment.

Would be a cool feature, but doubt they're even worrying about the food aspect of the game right now.

I kill cows for food but If I didn't find any animals, I will go to the Village and steal some crops.

Ha ha, I feel the same way. I feel bad beating animals to death with a sword, but honestly it's a game so I get over it when scary monsters are coming after me when I have a half of a heart left. I try to just kill chickens if I have to get meat. :)

That's why you beat them with your bare fists to make it even more violent. ;]

Eh I've never had a problem with killing fake animals in a game. I love eating meat in real life so this just feels like it shouldn't be a problem...

I had a problem killing sheeps before they introduced shears. They are so cute, who would want to kill them, but we needed to sleep. :( Other than that, not really. Then again, I kind of always made a farm for wheat and ate bread while my friends preferred meat.

You must do what you have to, to progress the game, and, for example, enchant weapons to beat the Wither and Ender Dragon. I personally have no problem with killing cows, but I am not a vegetarian.

The cows in Minecraft are just pixels on a screen - and that's what you should view them as. Nothing but a bunch of pixels and nobody will judge you if you kill a cow or two on your monitor.

Maxx, the sad thing is that some people WILL judge you for killing a virtual cow that's not really even a cow. It doesn't make any sense.

Yes, you're right, troutski. Those people also need to learn the difference between real life and games.

Games like minecraft, or GTA are there so you can do things on a monitor that you wouldn't do in real life. At least that's why I play GTA. I enjoy killing people on a screen and I know it won't affect me personally in real life, because I know the difference between game and reality.

I can actually see where you're coming from. One of my good friends is actually a vegetarian in minecraft and reason being that he is a vegetarian in real life so I understand. Oh, and big plus for Soartex Fanver Texture Pack! It is hands-down my favourite pack!
