On steam page under system requirements is written: "OS: Windows XP (32-Bit only), Vista, 7, or 8". Does that mean who have XP 64 won't be able to play game? On XP 64 Metro 2033 works without problems.

Very odd to see the 32-bit only minimum specs, I'll ask around what's up with that. 64-bit should work fine. We're still finalizing the final specs, so that's why the recommended ones are pretty vague right now.

On Steam you also get the digital comic book, which is written by Dmitry Glukhovsky in collaboration with Dark Horse comics. I think some of you on the forum have already found out about this comic based on some older version/older THQ info. So yes: it is a real thing :).

It bridges the story of Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light and is a neat little extra that we were able to get finished and included in the Steam pre-purchase deal.

Had it confirmed by 4A just now. For Windows XP only 32-bit is supported. Sorry :(

Remember that Metro 2033 was more of a low budget game so they didn't have that much money for optimizing it. Last Light received a lot more money so they most likely just made it run a lot better. And woot those specs pretty much mean I can run the game at well over 70 fps!

Thank you for clarification. Well, seems it is time for Windows 7.

You should have gotten Windows 7 a long time ago. I do feel that XP is better but new games seem to run better on windows 7 so I upgrade a long time ago. At least it's better than Vista or 8.

  12. Win 7 is fine. You can even make it look like win 95 if you are nostalgic like I am.

I can second that. Took me a while to make the jump to Windows 7, but you can make it look like what you're used to in XP pretty easily, and some of the extra features can come in handy.

ANYWAY: I forgot to mention that you get 10% off MLL if you own Metro 2033 on Steam. So that probably means everyone here gets 10% off the price :).

I think Deep Silver should do something to put notice of this forum, The #1 Official Metro: Last Light Forum, in the Store-page for M:LL as well as / instead of Enterthemetro.com, concidering that that site is now old and not in the hands of anyone, if I'm correct.

The 4A Engine is a lot more optimized this time around. Doesn't mean it doesn't look great (even on consoles), but it won't be as punishing as Metro 2033 was at the time.

Enterthemetro.com is in Deep Silver's hands now, but recently something got messed up and we're still fixing it now. Technically, this forum is officially endorsed and not an official Deep Silver forum. It's still in your hands. We can make a link on the website, but I was kind of planning on being cautious with linking to the forum and trying to only get a mature audience here. Like you all wanted :)

Putting a link on the official website might be counterproductive for that goal.

Oh, that's very true, thank you for correcting me there. You're absolutely right.
I find it weird, though, how Enterthemetro.com is very outdated, even the latest news. At the front page, it even announces the article about THQ's Community Manager, Joe :p

Yeah, it got messed up all right :). Things happen, and there is a lot of stuff involved with the website behind the scenes. As a result some parts got lost and we'll be replacing them soon.

Oh i have no doubts that LL is going to be one of the best looking games around. And Pew you can still put the system requirements for the other members to see here too.

P.S: Why do i feel bad about the whole "mature members only" now?
