Modern Warfare 2 Remake?

    You've probably seen the petition on Change.org by now with over 90,000 signatures calling on the developers to remake MW2. The wording of the whole thing is terrible, but it's clear that fans want a remake. I'm willing to bet that Activision greenlights it, no matter which company handles the remake/update, because that's a guaranteed seller that doesn't require too many resources to make.

    I think that Activision has seen the potential profit in a Modern Warfare 2 (or the whole series, for this matter) remake a long time before the petition started making rounds around the Internet. This will probably be the nudge they need to actually start making Infinity Ward to work on it. That is if Infinity Ward hasn't already started work on Ghosts 2, which wouldn't be surprising, considering the horrible ending of Ghosts.

    Given how poorly received the latest two games were honestly I wouldn't mind a throwback to the original successful formula that was Modern Warfare and Black Ops. I would love to see the next game being a sequel of either of the two.

    Whoa, whoa. Hold on. I could dig a sequel to Black Ops 2, but a sequel to Modern Warfare 3 would make me literally vomit. Also, I would say that Advanced Warfare might as well be a futuristic sequel to MW3. ;]

    I think that would be REALLY cool, but I don't think it will happen. I mean, I would love it to happen, but I can't see it happening.
