Now I know that Metro is not a roleplaying game and I don't wish it to be one, but while playing (and replaying) Metro 2033 I became quite frustrated with the towns. There was little room for exploration and I think that much more open and free towns could provide a break and refresher from the dark, cramped tunnels. Also it could provide, for those who go looking for it a much more in-depth story, via talking to the inhabitants and finding special items.

This suggestion was brought to you by the ever helpful,
    Obelisk:)

Yep the stations need to be opener, you kinda feel cheated when you get to polis and all you get is some rooms and a cut scene.

Well, in most of the stations there isn't much more room for explanation. Tbh the stations in the game tend to have more to them than some of the stations in the book, which consist largely of tents on a platform and areas of tunnel used for farming.

But yeah, in the stations which have the size and content to make it feasible, it would be awesome to be able to explore them.
