I love to get Stonehenge, since it's one of the most, if not simply the most, powerful Wonders in early game - only competitor IMO is the LIghthouse, but if you're building a seafaring nation it's less useful. And extra culture is always good! My other favorites are Angkor Wat (cheaper tiles) and Pentagon - upgrading units at full costs is a big no-no for me.

(Yes, as you can see I prefer the wonders from early ears :D)

I haven't played Civilization since Civ 3, and there weren't any bonuses to wonders at that time. But I think that's great though, since it would give you an incentive when building one, other than the fact that you can afford to. I always tried to build everything on one city though, my capital, and that's why I have to defend it at all costs, because I have everything in there :D

From the earlier games, I always like the pyramids in the early game because it meant you didn´t have to build granerys, and then latter on the one that gave you any techs achieved by 2 other civilizations, which helped you fill in the techs you didn´t really need and allowed you to race to your objectives.

Great Library is good if you're going for technological victory.

Me too, I always tried to build the Pyramid, and I was surprised to learn other people didn't put much value on it. Great Library was absolutely necessary ack then, in Civ 2, I always tried to build it even when I had the technological edge so that AI civilizations couldn't steal my advancements ;) Did you also like Leonardo's Workshop and Great Wall? Theye were among my favorites in that game.

I also think that this is a very good wonder. However the problem with it is often that you are not the only player who wants to have it (when playing online), so I actually tend not go for it, because the punishment is very high if you waste half your early game and then see the message that someone was 1 or 2 turns quicker than you, because you could have done something else during these turns.
My personal favourite is the Eiffel Tower. The Happiness definitely helps me to support my play style, which is that I want to expand as much as possible, without losing the positive Happiness bonuses.

Yes, I get super frustrated whenever any other nation beats me to a Wonder. In older games at least I could change the production goal for another Wonder, now all what we get is some gold, like a beggar :p
