I love my little dayhouse. Mostly because I built it into a giant hole in a mountain, and then into a cave system out the back. I think I did a really awesome job and I adore it!! :D

It's supposed to be a little get away home with a back door if you need to escape or just want to spend some time in your private little outdoor areas. I used to spend a lot of time there!

I used to have a similar little shelter and I really liked it too. The only thing that was really annoying was accidentally falling down the side of the mountain. (My entrance was a few blocks away from my stairs and you had to move over some small pathway to get there) I played with the idea of using trap doors for said pathway, so that you could use it as some kind of defense mechanism to keep creepers and other monsters away from the front door.

Another awesome build. I really love how you used the green wool at the bottom of the fish tank to give it the appearance of algae, those sort of details are what make builds even more unique! Great work as usual.

THAT would be so cool!! You could have a lever that made the pathway fall away and laugh and laugh as the mobs fell LOL.

Thank you! Being an admin I also cheated a squid in there but he died before filming about 4 times so yeah. It was just for the filming, it's too small to spawn them or keep them ha ha.

That living room looks so cozy and feels very lived in. What a nice abode you have been able to carve for yourself in that mountain!

The rest of the "home" after the backdoor is bigger than the living room! What's the deal with that?! Just kidding, it's a nice place :p

Thanks for the flyover at the end of the video it helped define the scale of the dayhouse.

Awesome build! How long did it take? I really love the details, it makes it look SO complex!

I guess I really wanted the insides to be cozy and small, and to have a big outdoor area because I wanted entertaining/relaxing to happen out there :D.

Actually this didn't take that long, probably a couple of hours over 2 days. I was in survival too.

I have to admit that is way better than anything I can build, even in creative mode. I built something like that once, but I accidentally dug into a lava waterfall and it flooded my house. The second time I tried building a house like that I made the stairs too narrow, and I kept dying after falling off the edge. The bedroom looks really nice, and any time I try to make a fireplace I burn down the entire place. Nice job anyway, and whats the texture pack?

So just 4 yours? That's incredible man. I don't even have that much creativity, not to say that it takes me way more time! :D

Ha ha it was probably closer to 12, sorry. I dunno where my head was when I said a couple. I did know what I wanted because I had had my eye on that mountain for so long it wasn't funny. Someone else had claim to the land though and I begged him and he agreed I could do it. I also made him a completely hidden bachelor pad out back. I should film that one too. It's very manly ha ha ;D.

EDIT: The through the mountain thing was a bit of an after-thought once you passed the little fireplace though....I noticed it was near the path and kind of connected it up and then built the garden area :).

Wow, this looks cooler than anything I've built. I'm really surprised it only took you 2 hours to build it. Congratulations!

You need to get some railing on those front stairs. I usually build stairs as if I were being changed by mobs and anything could happen. I am sure you are playing on Peaceful and what not, but it doesn't hurt to always be ready. It looks nice though, I have always liked building into mountains. Makes mining easier.

Nup we aren't on peaceful! We're on normal survival. I've not found any stair rails I like. Can you show me some examples? :D

Wow. It looks awesome. I don't have the ability to make that. Nice little day house you got there.

This is an awesome idea that you've made reality. The loftiness and the coziness of it is just great. definitely an awesome build in my opinion. Keep up the awesome work!

That's awesome. I like to built into cave systems too. That way you have everything you could need right there at your fingertips. My most complicated one went down under an entire mountain chain and had various points with different materials. Eventually I even made a cart track that ran through all of them and stopped at each one. My other favorite place to build would have to be on top of a mountain overlooking everything.

Nice! Little secret places like these tucked away into a mountain/cave system are the best. I love building places with secret passages myself, hidden from the rest of the world so that only I can find it.

That's a very good house. I find cave/mountain houses the best as they are safe from destruction and mobs. I really hate building them thought, due to the amount of time and hard work needed to build them, so good job for actually making it successful!
