Good. The more people that get penalized for it, the better. It should hopefully reduce the occurrence of elo-boosting, but I highly doubt it long-term.

This is a step in the right direction. They do this fewer times than I'd like, but when they do it's like the game is completely boosters-free. Since they do this every few months, I believe people will eventually get discouraged to eloboost and the numbers will steadily decrease.

I'm really glad that Riot is finally doing something about elo-boosters. A lot of those players ruined the game experience for me since they don't know how to play at a high level so they just feed endlessly.

Are we sure we aren't talking about false positives here? I mean, alright... I despise elo boosters myself, but will they truly identify them and ban accordingly? I doubt that. Unless they have no-brainer proof of course.

It has happened before, it very rarely gives false positives. They wouldn't do this is they weren't 99,9% sure that they are only banning elo-boosters. However, it's kind of unreasonable to expect that there won't be false positives, especially when they're banning thousands of players based on an algorithm. If someone does get banned and then complains, they will review their case individually and determine whether or not they should lift the ban.

I like that the fact they're cracking down finally, if they truly are. I just hope innocent people don't get the hammer in those mass banning situations which has happened in the past for just being affiliated with the people who got banned. It got hushed so not many remember it. I know some friends who were with some boosters by proximity (and not queue) but got hit. They may have been a rare case however.

That's crazy! 70,000 players is quite a bit!
