I'm sure some of you have seen the introduction video, if you haven't it's in the game loader.

Is it just me or are all these new heroes maybe a bit too powerful? Li Ming has insane damage and as long as you manage to kill an enemy, you can use the ulti again. With nova we need the lvl20 skill to reuse after a kill....

Xul... looks quite balanced but I just absolutely HATE the root. I mean.. pretty much all the roots in the whole games are ones that you place on the ground and the enemy has time to evade them. But no, this one goes straight on the hero with zero chance of escaping.

And now Dehaka. This hero isn't even in the game yet but basically it looks to me like you have a tank that is capable of healing himself, teleporting across the map as well as using the "drag" to stun and pull enemies. I don't know... seems like a lot, don't you think? (and that is straight out of the box at lvl1)

Ohh I almost forgot. Of course you have the whole AoE damage thing similar to what Arthas has but they just had to go and put in the fact that you will be able to walk through enemies. This hero with his burrow, self heal and probably high-ish HP is already hard enough to kill but you can't even block him in now.

I felt the same way about how powerful some of these heroes are. The tank being able to heal itself is pretty ridiculous. I'd be okay with powerful heroes, but it needs to be more balanced across the board.

Dehaka is my favourite and he is famous for his excellent placement which he does quite easily and his eventual release.

I just played a game and surprisingly didn't run into Dehaka yet. I did think about getting him but 15k gold is a bit too much. Anyway, I feel like it's the NEW heroes that are strong.. and then after a while they get nerfed down a little. (as it happened with both Li Ming and Xul)

Accident or a money making technique?

Well I just ran into Dehaka for the first time last night. And just as I expected... way too hard to kill. I was playing as nova and I did get him twice in the beginning (below level 5) when we got 2vs1 but no chance after that.

High hp, insane healing. And I didn't think the whole "burrow" thing would be that bad but it turns out that it's a "hit a button and dodge the ulti". Me as Nova, then Li Ming and Xul... I don't think we killed him once after level 5. As soon as me or Li would strike him with the ulti he would just go underground and all of the damage would be negated. Xuls unti was even more useless since Dehakas healing outdoes the damage.

Hate to play devil's advocate but I feel that many MOBA games often introduce new heroes/champions slightly overpowered to entice you into buying them.

Not surprised with what they did with Dehaka at all.

Yeah this is the thought that crossed my mind too. I haven't played these games for long but Li Ming had high dmg, that was since toned down. Xul had the same issue, he was also nerfed in the latest patch. And now it's Dehakas turn.... 3 times in a row does not seem like a coincidence anymore.

I guess this is what happens when a moba releases a new character some people claim the character/champion is way too OP but the truth is that people are not used to their skills and abilites therefore they think he is too OP but when the time passes they forget about the hero unless he makes a great entrance or has a high impact on the game.

Well.. it could be that too. But in cases for both Li Ming and Xul, if you look at the patch notes, they have been nerfed since their original release. Both of them had their damage reduced and small tweaks to tone down their abilities.
