Not Enough Items (NEI) or Too many Items (TMI)

    I personally prefer NEI because it seems to be more compatible with other mods.

    Which do you prefer out of NEI and TMI?

    Haven't tried either. Could you elaborate on the pros/cons of each? I would be interested to try them

    I've been using TMI every since its early days. If it isn't broken don't fix it. To be fair I've never heard of NEI till now so I'm a bit biased.

    I agree... It is more a lot easier to find mods that work with NEI than TMI. I haven't tried TMI quite some time though, so I don't know how it is anymore.

    I don't usually use a lot of mods, but I think that if you're using them, NEI would be much more useful, because of the fact that it can show recipes and uses for each item.

    I agree with most people here NEI is way better due to the fact that it is just more compatible with most mods.

    Like most people, NEI is by far much better than TMI. TMI is now outdated, and NEI has lots of features and tools which help developers and players alike, such as dumping a copy of the id map.

    Don't really use either because I usually run Tekkit Servers for my friends and I.

    I've only ever tried Too Many Items and I never have tried anything else. TMI fits my needs so, eh whatever. I've heard about how good NEI is nowadays, so I'm gonna be looking forward to trying it soon.
