    PS4 and XBOX One stink right now because they don't have enough exclusive games to justify their purchase. The vast majority of the games for the PS4 and Xbox1 are also available on last generation's consoles (PS3, XB360) with basically no difference in game play or graphics. So why would I spend $400 to play games I can play on my existing console? We all know about PCs...such as how you have to spend more than 2x on the hardware to even get a low-end gaming PC, or how you have to worry about viruses, driver updates, and other issues that consoles simply don't have...

    Yes there are a few console exclusive titles, or at least, generation exclusive titles, but honestly, not enough to justify buying either one if you still have your older console around. Even if you DON'T have an older console, I still recommend buying one of them instead of the latest consoles because:
    * They're cheaper.
    * They have more games.
    * The games are cheaper.
    * They are still getting new games...games that AREN'T going to the newer consoles.

    I don't quite agree with you. I can give you a console killer PC cheatsheet for $400 (or even a little bit less), the platform is really flexible. Both the PS4 and XBONE are subpar in terms of hardware, the price doesn't justify them for me.

    At this point I just buy consoles just to have the exclusive games. And I'm enjoying them a lot. In a couple of years both consoles are going to be viable platforms just for the exclusives, because there will be a bunch already out by then.

    While I do agree that they don't have enough games to warrant buying them. I don't think the graphics of last gen games are on par with PS4 and Xbone. This gen clearly has a lot of improvements if you compare the games that come out for both gens.

    I want to agree but it only depends on what games you want. If you have a great PC but the game you're eyeing requires a video card that you don't have, that's extra money right there you have to spend just for a single game, not to mention DRM that may screw up your computer and you have to pay to get parts repaired. At least with a console, you don't have to worry about system requirements since it is specifically made for that console and all you might need is a patch. Plus, I'd rather keep gaming and computer needs separate since if my console breaks, I can get a new one but still have a computer to do my work on. If my gaming computer breaks downs, not only can I not do any gaming, but now I'm without a computer to do work or stuff that is separate from gaming.

    I buy consoles because they're easier to setup and maintain. Plus, my favorite exclusive title is only available on console. Plus, I enjoy having built in Blu-ray functionality as well as a beautiful Netflix app.

    Game addicts never cease to amaze me. You spend $400 and even more on a game?

    I would rather spend that money on outdoor activities while eating and drinking what I want.
