Anyone else here like me who HAS to put all wonders (or as much as possible) into just one city in Civilization 3? For example, for my seaside city, I put all the Wonders that would require water nearby, such as the Great Lighthouse and the Colossus of Rhodes, while inland I have all other wonders and the Great Wall by the background. Who else did this while playing?
I'm quite your nemesis in this regard, since I always felt bad if I concentrated all my wonders in the capital or any single city. From strategic point of view, this incurs the risk of losing all your monuments after a single battle, and makes you especially vulnerable to surprise attack, especially one from the sea (this can happen in mid game, or if you lag behind in technology).
I think people who play games like Sim City would do the same! You just want your capital to be as amazing as possible.
I don't do that at all. The strategic risk going along with that is too immense for me, but also the fact that sometimes you hinder yourself by waiting too long to get the wonder in a specific city.
Nope, while I understand the temptation to do something like this, it's bad move strategically. My wonders are built in places that make the most sense for them to be built at.
Not really, even though I kind of like having them in a single place. It's just bad from a strategic point of view and in case of an attack they can all get destroyed. It's better to scatter them around.
