Odd happenings?

Ok, I currently am playing Minecraft on my Xbox 360. I play normal survival and I have been working on this world since TU15. First odd thing that I had happen to me was when I went out hunting for a pet cat to keep the creeps at bay, but when I found a wild ocelot I fed it, and hearts appeared, but it didn't tame. That is to say, it stayed in its original color and ran away, but the only options while it was still there where hit and love mode. I tried again on a second ocelot and the same thing occurred again. Both cats ran away from me and were never tamed even though I fed them both the fish. I have never had this glitch occur before but so far, I have been unable to tame any cats in this particular world, though I have not tried it on another save yet.
Second, disappearing TNT. I HAVE NO idea what the heck happened here. I saved up enough gunpowder to build 33 TNT and I had them lined up in a line down a mine shaft, I was gonna do some proper explosions and I go to light the first TNT with my flint, I point at it, and left click and Boop! Gone, zip, nothing there. No I don't mean it broke down into a block and picked it back up...just gone. I tried it 3 more times before giving up on lighting the old fashioned way, so I linked up the remaining TNT blocks to some redstone wire and attached a switch, clicked it......and a big fat nothing. I even tried placing a block of TNT directly on top of lave, because this will normaly catch any flammable object on fire....still nothing. My TNT is completely useless in my world and I cannot get it to trigger, and if I try to light it, it disappears.

Is this just me and a weird glitch or is my world possessed?

Maybe Minecraft on the Xbox isn't completed and still has a few glitches. I heard the console versions are incomplete compared to their PC version.

Try a new world and see what happens, it should just be your current world that has some faults

Have you tried turning it on and off? Haha, it could be the version of the game because they might still have glitches that have not been patched yet.

Trying reloading your save, or making sure your minecraft is up to date. If all else fails you can always try reporting the bug to the developers, and hopefully they'll fix it in the next update.

OK update! I am special.....very very special. I totally forgot that when I made the world, I set it for TNT does not Explode and Fire does not Spread.....yeah, I felt pretty stupid about it. SO now I can blow things up once I unchecked both of those options, but it still does not explain my problem with the cats.... and I really need one too, these dang creepers are killing me, quite literally.
