Opinion on pistols in this game?

    I honestly think that they didn't put any effort into balancing the pistols in this game, or didn't even try making pistols as viable weapons. I feel that they probably finished the development earlier than launch date, and said 'fuck it, let's add some pistols to this game', and then ran out of time and decided to still include them into the game.

    They are a joke. Only 4 pistols, and all of them horrible. The most viable is, maybe, the Atlas one, but even that is hard to use.

    Does anyone else feel the same way?

    The pistols work fine. It's not like they're supposed to be primary weapons anyways. Then again, some of them are downright nasty in close quarters and can beat some of the SMGs or shotguns. It just depends on how you use them.

    Well pistols are secondary weapons for a reason, you should only use them in a pinch when your primary is out of ammo. They could be buffed to be a little more powerful but they shouldn't be able to take on other primary weapons easily.

    Yeah, they are secondary weapons, but given that this game expects you to complete challenges with them and then proceeds to hand you some weak pistols, it's pretty crummy.


    I only ran out of ammo once during my months playing this game, and I play fairly well. It's pretty hard to run out of ammo in this game given how much ammo they provide you after each spawn. Modern Warfare 2 was the game in which I found myself switching weapons a lot because of a shortage of ammo, but this just doesn't happen in Advanced Warfare.
