I've played Fallout 2 and 3 and they were both a ton of fun. I think I liked Fallout 3 so much because of Elder Scrolls: Oblivion. However I never played any of the newer games after that, like New Vegas and such. Are those really worth playing? I've heard New Vegas was a lot of fun, but idk if it is worth the money.

Yeah there was only one game after Fallout 3, which is Vegas. Vegas wasn't really that great. It was somewhat fun at times, but it wasn't anywhere near as good as fallout 3. For me it felt too easy at time and the world you were set in wasn't what I expected. This is Vegas, isn't it supposed to have some spark. I know it's in a wasteland, but come on, Fallout 3's world was impressive.

Fallout 3 has always been my favorite. New Vegas was pretty good too, and gambling in it was pretty fun. I think both worlds were impressive, but for me Fallout 3 had more random creatures waiting to attack you at every turn.

Fallout 3 is the best game yet, I think most people can agree with that. Except for some of course. I liked the randomness to 3 because it added a bit more than 2 had.

I've only played Fallout New Vegas in the Fallout series but from a lot of the reviews I'm hearing Fallout 3 is really good and even better . I might give Fallout 3 a shot as I loved New Vegas. Anyone know if they're making any more?

Bethesda said it's the type of game they plan to make many sequels of. I think they said that you don't just buy an IP and not make a game around it, and so we'll be making more games. It was something along those lines. So Elder Scrolls and Fallout seem to the top two games Bethesda worries about.

And yeah, there's been a few great fallouts, fallout 3 being the best of the bunch. New Vegas was alright, but it just wasn't all there.

Great to hear, hopefully they'll be out soon. I looked up some of the really old versions of the game which were semi 2D, I'm not one for "retro" games but the reviews from the Fallout fans are outstanding. Is it worth getting?

By semi 2D, I assume you are talking about Fallout 2? You can get more info on it here :

Although it is 16 years old, it's still a classic RPG and great fun to play, especially if you're a Fallout fan. It's great to see how far the series has come.

I've only played New Vegas so far, though Fallout 3 is on my list, but a friend of mine actually liked New Vegas better than 3. According to her, in 3 the karma system didn't do that much; your reputation didn't matter. In New Vegas, reputation is very important and it enhances the game play. She said that a lot of 3 was like that; cool systems that didn't all work together.

Without having knowledge of 3, the only thing that I have to say against New Vegas, which I love, is that the main plot seems a little short. The game does a good job of giving you the impression of a vast, unending sort of plot, and then it's like you turn the corner and BAM, you're there, at the Hoover Dam situation, and you've got to deal with that and then that's the end congrats you did the plot.

Given how long and frustrating parts of the main plot was, I really expected the ending to pack more punch.

I really loved New Vegas. While it's a bit different from the other Fallouts I still loved every minute that I played. The story wasn't THAT great but the gameplay was.

Overall I love the whole series. I've played them all and loved them all so I'm definitely looking forward to the next one.

Fallout New Vegas is great but I prefer Fallout 3. They're both pretty good, if Fallout 3 was at 10 is day New Vegas is a 9.5. Fallout Tactics is also pretty good. Its an old 2D classic but I still enjoy it.

New Vegas follows Fall Out 3's trails, I played it quite a while ago since I enjoyed 3 so much and I can tell you that if you enjoyed the previous game, you'll definitely enjoy this one. There are somethings that are done differently, but mostly it's a well made game, I'd give it a 8.5/10.

I agree Fallout 3 was great and the 1st one I played New Vas as OK, but I liked 3 better I have never played the 1st or 2nd one, but one day when I have time I will defiantly sit down and play them.

I love 3, and I still play it from time to time. NV, not so much. I can't really get into it, and to me it feels like it's missing something. I really just can't stand 1 & 2 though, they're not my style at all. Which is funny considering I play Diablo and PoE.

I'm sorry, but fallout 3 is empty and boring. I loved New Vegas. If I had gone off my initial impression from Fallout 3 I wouldn't like any of the games..

If you liked Fallout 1 and 2, you'll definitely like New Vegas. New Vegas was developed by Obsidian, and most of the guys working for Obsidian developed the first two games.
New Vegas has a better storyline and more interesting characters. The map is also way more interesting and it has almost three times more sidequests than Fallout 3. I loved the first two games, but Fallout 3 was kinda lame.

Fallout New Vegas is pretty good, you should get it on PC at least you get a cheaper price and a ton of possible mods.
Other than that you are only missing Fallout 1, which is similar to 2 but shorter and Fallout Tactics which is a squad-strategy game, similar to the XCOM games, you you know those.

Well if you liked Fallout 1 and 2 you're going to like Fallout New Vegas more than you liked Fallout 3. It's way more relevant to Fallout 1 and 2 and way more similar. It has a lot of factions/characters/and content that will actually remind you of Fallout 1 and 2. I'd suggest checking it out. and in terms of replayability, it's definitely there. Worth the money

The only problem with replayability on New Vegas is that once you get out of the first town, you pretty much have to turn right, because if you turn left you quickly run into Deathclaws :D
So you always have around the same set path in every playthrough.
