Overwatch

I`m curious about it, that`s for sure. Not really hyped, but really curious.

 

Definitely one of my most hyped games for this year. P.S. this forum has an Overwatch section, in case you were unaware!

 

Do you think the game will live up to the huge hype it is getting?

 

I definitely agree with you. While I don`t think the game will be necessarily boring, there is no way it can be as good as it is hyped up to be. Blizz should definitely try and develop something more original then this.

 

Yeah, it is a shame that the companies that have all the money to be creative just make clones of their own games or other people´s games.

I've been playing Overwatch since it came out and I can safely say the game exceeded my expectations. I expected it to be a CS:GO Blizzard copy but the game and mechanics are really fun. It's worth the money.

 

I'll agree that it can be fun if you like that kind of game, but I don't think it is very original or even feature complete. This can, and probably will change over time with updates though.

 

Agreed. It really lived up to the hype and it seems like it has been picked up by the public too because I'm seeing tons of content for overwatch everywhere nowadays. Impressive considering it's just a few months old.

 

I think people confuse hype and web content with good game-play and game content. I don't see that Overwatch has lived up to the hype yet, but I'm not saying that won't. Eventually it may live up to it.

 

Yeah, so far so good for Blizzard and I'm sure this game will be pretty big given a couple of years. Not even League of Legends started out as strong and look where they're right now, pretty crazy.

 

Well no game will ever be "feature complete" as there are always things to add and improve, everything is going forward and they have to follow. Overwatch is just a couple of months old and it has yet to reach its potential, I agree, but the game is really good for only being a couple of months old.

 

Definitely. I think they really got the hang of it already by having made so much content over the decades that they already know what to expect to come with releasing a new game. I'm surprised to even hear that there are already official tournaments out this early in the games life but I'm sure they already anticipated that.

 

There are levels to it. I don't find Overwatch is at a sufficient level of being feature complete to justify the cost of the game.

 

I've only ever seen overwatch and have not had the privilege of playing it yet but so far, I think it's good. The characters are typical for the genre but the story and the gaming platform is quite different so I'm excited about that. I'm always cheering for the tanky characters though.

 

Overwatch isn't bad. It still has a way to go before the price of it can be justified, especially the price of the console version. It is an expensive game compared to what is offered.
