Parrying Heavy Attacks

hey guys, just wanted to ask if somebody know how to parry heavy attacks in the game with bosses and big dudes, I'm pretty sure I wasn't the only one who had trouble with Boutica at the end of the game... Is there any specific way to parry these attacks....

If you know how please tell me how... Thanks! Details too please..

Theyll flash red on heavy attacks indicating the B button to roll away from the attack. You can parry them but your timing has to be just right!
