http://wccftech.com/bioware-recruiting-gamers-dragon-age-inquisition-playtests-screenshot-revealed/ Bioware is recruiting players for play testing DA: I. Sadly enough, I think this is only for residents of Canada. Anyone in the Vancouver area planning on applying/going there? I'm so curious and so envious of anyone who gets to see the game in this stage!
Cool even though I am not Canadian it's nice to know that they are starting play testing I had no idea.
I don't mind not being able to play test the game. It's good that they allow play testing, that way the dev can get feedback on what to improve and fix. Why only in Canada I wonder?
I hope any play testers they get pay attention to things like recycled areas that were so blatant in Dragon Age 2. Origins was a fantastic game just as good as the Baldurs Gate series in my opinion. I just hope BioWare has been taking it's time to avoid the mistakes they made with Dragon Age 2. I also hope it does not have the same issues Mass Effect 3 had with writing and blatant lies from the developer to the fans. I'm not expecting much from this game but hope I am wrong and that when I play it I will be blown away.
Good point a lot of testers don't really know what they are doing they just look at it as playing a demo or something, but I don't think this time we will have that issue the only reason why DA 2 was like that was because Bio-ware was not done with the game and EA refused to delay the game to a later date.
EA is still the publisher though which makes me worry, I have faith in Bioware. Even though DA2's recycled areas were annoying it was still a good game. ME3 was the same way the ending was bad but overall it was a great game. I think DA3 will be good regardless but may turn into a standard 3rd person action adventure because EA wants to appeal to a wider audience with the game.
I have faith in this game. They've taken a couple of years to perfect it this time rather than throwing out trash made in under a year.
It's nice that they're recruiting people to actually test the game for any issues that might have popped up, but I'm also genuinely curious why it'd only be available in Canada; I don't mind it but I'd still like to know for future reference.
