I dunno why there isn't a thread about this so I'm making it. Recently, Nintendo confirmed that remakes of Ruby and Sapphire are incoming and it seems like they will be using X/Y's gorgeous 3D engine for it. Not much is known yet so there's not much to say but I know Pokemón fans are hyped for it. There's a teaser showing Groudon and Kyogre at the moment which is what makes me think they will use X/Y's 3D engine:
Alright!! I wonder if these are the mega evolution for Groudon and Kyorge? Or is it just a artistic approach for the cover? I knew this is coming, they left some clues and teasing in X and Y itself by bringing up the Hoenn region in the games Fire Red Leaf Green Heart Gold Soul Silver Omega Ruby Alpha Sapphire I am certain now Diamond and Pearl will be receiving a remake treatment
I personally thought the remakes were pretty much guaranteed, so I'm not surprised but I think that these two games being remade after X/Y will be truly interesting, considering how many new things X/Y brought into the series. I really wonder if these are Mega Evos too, CeliVega.
I think it's great that they are remaking the older titles. It gives the newer and younger fans a chance to experience the greatness of the older pokemon games. For some, maybe 3ds is their first gaming console and Pokemon X and Y is their first pokemon game, so they wouldn't know that much about the other game titles. Bringing Ruby and Sapphire for the 3ds will be great for old and new fans alike!
My favourite starter from the Hoenn region is Mudkip, and I am disappointed that it didn't have a mega evolution back then! I don't know what is it, call it a hunch maybe, because I think sooner or later all starters will be receiving a mega form...... (That's what I hope anyway) You know how we get to travel to another region with Gold/Silver? I wish they incorporate that feature in this remake, it will be awesome
I have seen the show but I have never played any of the games, or collected the cards. I think it would be pretty interesting to try out though, if it is anything like the idea I am thinking that is.
It's great! Pokemon started as game from Nintendo, then it got so popular that there's the animation series and tons of others merchandise...... It's a very long-running franchise with a lot of games! In fact, I envy you! Being a newbie means there's at least 10 games to keep you busy before the new games are out!
