Do you guys think that the online feature of the modern Pokemon game is fun or whether or not it's well designed? Do you find yourself playing more on online mode than single player? I remember Pokemon Diamond and Pearl's multiplayer (and online multiplayer) quite well and the minigames that were available were very fun! (especially the one where you had to dig for treasure and the ability to make your own base and raid other people's bases!)
I think it's well designed but I don't find myself playing it more then single player do to the way it's designed.
I remember trying it awhile back I didn't enjoy it to much it was quite buggy and the disconnect rate was high for me so it was very frustrating.
I'm not used to playing it online. I'm still exploring the map and catching them all, so I'm kinda' busy right now But after I finish that, I will be playing it online, that's when the real challenges begin
I played around with the online feature a bit and I think it has potential, but I didn't spend too much time with it. I tried to start an online battle and it took a really long time to try to connect and the battle never happened. The Wonder Trade feature was pretty cool, though, was able to send a duplicate Pokemon and get a new one in return.
I'm the type who would rather play single player. Playing online really doesn't do it for me. I think there's enough for me in the game without having go online.
I recently checked it out on google to see if it would be better because i think when i tried it was still in beta, but now their are so many different servers and what not if your a big Pokemon fan it might be worth a try!
I just have a whole team and setup for online mode with pokemon games. For me, it's not the same game. There's pokemon Black then there's pokemon Black Online. In one, I'm the best of the best, in the other I'm a Bulbasaur among Charizards.
well, I think in theory it was a good idea, where you get to explore and battle your friends from countries miles away, also the addition of exclusive pokemon not found or hard to be found anywhere else would be a plus.
I think the new online features are great and I myself especially love wonder trading! I think that having other people to play against is a lot more rewarding than playing with the computer and it is a lot more of a challenge and therefore a lot more fun! Online trading as well does make the game a whole lot easier, that is with completing the pokedex and creating teams and such.
I loved playing Pokemon Pearl! It was the last decent Pokemon game before they added a bunch of stupid new ones. Yeah the multiplayer feature would be a cool addition to the game.
I play some online Pokémon games, very fun and a good way to make friends, especially because there are chats and forums. It gets updated a lot too. So every week you might find something new!
I think it's well designed really, I don't play that much online and I always play with either my friends locally or just SP but I think the online function is as good as it gets. It needs some fixing yes but I think it's good for the platform.
I think it was developed quite nicely and is quite enjoyable to play. The mechanics were great and it was nice to meet other pokemon fans out there like myself. It was a great experience overall and I suggest you try it at least once.
Come to think of it, I don't think I've used this feature very much, if at all in the past when it was (and probably still is) available. I liked to use my old Diamond Game to trade with people around the world when that was still an option though; but I don't think you can do that with a DS anymore.
The new updates to the Online features are MUCH better than they used to be. I always had such a hard time connecting in games like Diamond and Pearl, and I never had local friends who played the games, so I never got to do any of the extra features. So I love that now it's so easy to connect and participate with other Pokemon fans!
