Correct me if I'm wrong (I'm still slightly confused about all that Limited Edition malarkey), but isn't it the RPK light machine gun OR the AKS-74U submachine gun that's included in the limited edition of Metro: Last Light depending on your region - and NOT both of them? Because, as you can see here, Poland's limited edition is getting both...

Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. I was planning on calling one of my friends in Poland to send him some money and ask him if he can pre-order me a Polish version of the game anyway (for the Polish subtitles with Russian voice acting - more atmospheric), and this is just more incentive to keep saving up the cash for it, but I thought it was either one gun or the other and not both. :derp:

Do any other countries get this deal, or have I completely misunderstood all that pre-order crap talk and it's every country that gets it?

I still have no clue of this limited-edition mess: i know neither if it replaces the old-style Limited Edition, nor how these "exclusive" content works.

I don't know anything either on the extra content recived from pre-ordering LL anymore, except Ranger Hardcore Mode, so I can't help on that. What I do know that when metro 2033 limited edition came out in the U.K. it came with a in game weapon, in this case, as show here as show here hash=item460e2af89f[/URL] ,with the heavy automatic shotgun. So as they did before, I wouldn’t see why they wouldn’t do it again with LL.

I am a little bit confused, too. I think the boxed version come with RPK and AKS. The steam version only contains the AKS. So it is in Germany.

GAME in the UK appear to have updated the Last Light description too, but list two versions (!?) a limited edition, with the AKSU, and a "GAME exclusive limited edition" :

Recommended for Metro veterans, Ranger Mode offers the ultimate challenge, featuring a HUD free display for increased immersion, deadlier combat, and dramatically limited resources such as ammunition and gas mask filters. Players who dare to rise to the challenge will benefit from a unique Ranger load out, including an exclusive weapon, the Russian AKSU, and be rewarded with additional 100 military grade rounds with which to customize their starting equipment. You'll also receive the Soviet designed RPK. Forged before the apocalypse this light weight machine gun could become your best friend in your fight for survival in the underground.

This edition isnt listed for PC though, just consoles

I think both the guns will be in the game anyway. Perhaps they'll be at the end of the game instead of you having them from the start off, if you don't get a limited edition. Or they get added later as free DLC, I dunno.

But from what I understood from the first announcement of the Limited Edition, is that any country will get the AKS-74U if pre-ordered, be it boxed or digital, while Russia (Or Germany, I can't remember which one) gets the RPK instead of the AKS-74U.

If you go to enterhemetro site and one by one check different countries. You'll see that in every country that has a pre-order offer, you'll receive RPK and AKSU. But in rest of the world you do not receive RPK (enterthemetro site). Still hoping that RPK is in the game.
    Pleace confirm or correct this?

From what I found here and here, I can confidently confirm that the offer for both the AKS-74U and the RPK is not limited to one retailer in Poland - but likely available in most (if not all) of them.

Okay, looks like they really overcomplicated all of this pre-order/limited edition stuff. If it really was THQ that set up these offers, then I'm not surprised that Deep Silver couldn't cancel them. It seems that the deal varies from region to region. International retailers like Steam offer only the AKS-74U, so do retailers in the UK and the US(?). However retailers in Germany, Poland and Russia(?) give you both the AKS and the RPK - whilst Australia is limiting the AKS and RPK deal to only retailer?

    I am confused...

EDIT: No wait - in the UK - the deal with both weapons seems to be limited to... only one retailer like in Australia?

    Either way, I think it will be the same way as it was with the Heavy Automatic Shotgun in Metro:2033;
If you do pre-order the game, you will have that special weapon from the start off, but if you don't pre-order, you will get the weapon later in the game. (Because you get the Heavy Automatic Shotgun first when you get to Sparta Base).

Just like this, you will in Last Light be able to get the RPK and the AKS-74u later in the game even if you don't pre-order.
But Maurice did say in the Pre-order-information thread that when you play Ranger Mode, you will have the gun(s) from the beginning of.
Does this mean that when the Ranger Hardcore DLC arrives for non-pre-orders, you will have the gun(s) from the start of when playing Ranger Hardcore? Or will they have edited the Ranger Hardcore DLC so that you won't have the gun(s) from the beginning of?

(You know what, I'm gonna ask this in the Q&A thread :p)
