    Yeah, it's not that surprising since Poles fought in a shitload of European wars during the 19th and 20th Centuries, since we lost our independence for 123 years, starting in the very late 18th Century. :p Even in WWI and WWII, there were Polish people fighting in almost every army involved (although, obviously, almost no one was on the German side during the Second World War).
